May have been mentioned already but haven't seen any comments, although many will have already bought tickets and arranged travel before our fate was decided (i did) the numbers who travelled and support yesterday was superb, i know free coach travel was put on but it was still impressive, i think even Ipswioh fans realised and appreciated the fact, anyone know the exact numbers, quite proud yesterday tbh.

Sometimes the away 'gate' figures are posted in the match report on the Town website, but seems nobody has got round to doing the match report from yesterday yet..maybe they've all gone for the summer ? I understand 2002 tickets were made available.

Yes excellent support. The away end seemed more or less full and I think there were 2000 tickets available, unbelievable support with nothing to play for and the distance to travel.

heard from someone within the club 1100 tickets though a couple sold them to Ipswich fans for £200 outside the pub before ko. As creditable as yesterday was for a non event for an already relegated team, we've had some really piss poor followings too reflecting the goods on display - Swansea under 200, Cardiff not many more and 400s or less at Cov, Bham, S'land
edit I think Ipswich brought the usual segregation up to meet the town lot to squeeze more of the locals in, was a few empty seats bottom left corner /block as you came in over the first 4-5 rows perhaps felt there was more than it appeared cos just about everyone was singing instead of moaning

I might be wrong isn’t our away attendance league position the same as our actual league position?

Chuff me there’s been some ridiculous days for the long trips, on top of the fact we’ve been gash. I’ve done the fewest away games for years with 6.

i’ve missed very few away games this season but i couldn’t see any point at all to going yesterday other than a day out/piss up. Nothing to do with supporting the team like i thought i was doing in some small way with the other games.
To be honest i didn’t want to give them any support. They let us down and wanted them to lose.

Chuff me there’s been some ridiculous days for the long trips, on top of the fact we’ve been gash. I’ve done the fewest away games for years with 6. As I said in another thread, I've done 30 away games since West Brom in Feb 2018 and seen 3 wins, Stoke 2019, Blackpool 2021 and Hull 2022. A GD in those games of -28. Going back further I've done 83 away games since promotion in 2012 and seen 19 wins, the vast majority of them either in 2012/13 or under Wagner. -65 GD Fair play to people going more often than not, because its been a bloody hard slog at times. Having gone to most away games pre premier league and then almost every away in the premier league I've done 3 or 4 a season since Covid. Party because I just got out of the habit, but mostly because almost always been shite viewing.

Find that hard to believe was near the Ipswich fans and apart from about 3 or 4 rows at the top which were not in use, hardly any empty seats near us . If the away end held 2002 , not in a month of Sundays was it half full , that can’t be correct.

Looks to be completely full from this picture. There are also a very small number of away fans in the bottom tier for some reason.

They give about 100 tickets on lower tier to all clubs it’s a bit weird but I think it’s to accommodate people with mobility issues but they looked fully used also. I’m glad you showed that picture because that’s exactly how it felt on the day ( full more or less) .

Looks to be completely full from this picture. There are also a very small number of away fans in the bottom tier for some reason. The official disabled/wheelchair area was in the Ipswich end so a lot of ambulant disabled took lower tier seats. There were a few others down there as well so not sure exactly why but I know ITFC offered us those few extra seats for some reason.

Another thing that happened at the end of the game, I stayed for 5 mins to watch Ipswich fans celebrate on the pitch but then exiting stadium a few Ipswich fans passed us going up stairs into away end , I think these were Ipswich fans who didn’t go to game but wanted to see scenes after game finished when they opened the gates. Only young kids about 16 to 20 years old.

I assumed it was Ipswich fans who were sat in an upper tier who were trying to get to a pitch level stand to get on the pitch.

That is way way better than the club and the players deserve. Yep way better . I was actually quite glad at end knowing some of the players this year I will never after see again in a town shirt , some proper arse wipes in this seasons squad. I pray for a proper clean out , never ever in my long history of watching my beloved club have I seen such a powerpuff midfield and strike force, too many who really believe their own hype, yet couldn’t hit a barn door from 2 yards . No wonder we have been relegated our defence is more potent infront of goal to the whole midfield and strike force, of which the midfield also often contributes to goals against , 2 recent examples Stoke and Ipswich ( both midfielders not doing their jobs). So a midfield which doesn’t score and a strike force which is either injured or sub standarrd . Also a defence which was crying out for full backs ( pre season) to be brought in. Yep thank fuck this season is over COMPLETE DISASTER. and our fan base doesn’t deserve this.
