I hope the diary has some more detail. It seems he's more comfortable with a mate interviewing him rather than journalists who have been on the whole very friendly to him and the club when harshness was required. Did anyone else find themselves reading that tweet in the voice of Katherine Hannah herself? Like a scorned mistress...

I see a lot of us are still chucking teddies out of the pram. Absolutely nothing wrong with this letter. Justifiably the teddies will be thrown out of the pram until we're a competitive championship team. God help Kev if the unthinkable happens and we miss out on promotion next season.

FFS. ‘He’s not talking enough’. ‘He’s not confronted what’s happened to us’. ‘It’s just words’. ‘He talks too much’. ‘He’s mentioned Sacramento 27 times and Town 26 times. It just shows that he loves Sacramento to bits and fucking hates Town. He’s probably asset stripping us as we speak’. The guy can’t win. What do you want him to say? I don’t know why he bother’s because he’ll always be in the wrong with sections on here. Anyone that’s anything positive to say about him gets “Thanks for that Mrs Nagel or alike”. We need to thank our lucky stars that somehow we have attracted someone that has real money, that’s willing to invest in an untrendy Northern Town, with not a lot going for it, sandwiched between some of football’s biggest power houses. A money maker we ain’t. Yes he’s made mistakes, just like others have. But he’s new to this over this side of the pond, and wants to learn and put it right. Give him the chance and time to do that.

I can't understand what more Kevin could do in such a short space of time post our confirmed relegation? His open letter to me implies that the club has faced significant challenges and acknowledges the disappointment of relegation. Despite the difficulties, the club remains committed to its long-term vision of improvement both on and off the field. It highlights the need for investment in various areas, such as the first-team squad, academy, and club infrastructure. The club acknowledges past mistakes and is determined to create a winning culture and giving us team we can be proud of again. The Plans are outlined for the upcoming pre-season preparations and infrastructure improvements. Overall, the message conveys a sense of accountability, determination, and optimism for the future in my honest opinion. I note only 10 posts - presumably you are directly connected with the Club, here to spin the letter? No Plans have been outlined only platitudes, at least thus far. The one tangible is "top class training facilities in Austria". So what; what is so good about Austria? What is wrong with top class training facilities in England? After the repeated criticism of the players by AB, which must have destroyed any player/manager relationship, if AB stays then there will need to be a complete squad rebuild. Is this going to happen? If the platitudes in this letter are backed up, tomorrow, by a slate of tangible proposals then the letter becomes meaningful. Consequently, I am reserving judgement until I see what is published on Wednesday!!

I'm getting tired of this, we have an owner trying to build a rapport with the fans. Yes there could have been more substance in the open letter, but seriously, I'm convinced many of you won't be happy till several members of the club, both staff and players are tarred, feathered and paraded down the high street to suffer the vitriol you all feel they deserve. Many of you are the same ones that moaned and complained under Hodgkinson, and the second reign of Hoyle etc.
I really hope we keep AB next season, he worked miracles according to many of my ex work colleagues at Zurich, and that he is allowed to weed out those both in the backroom and in the playing squad that need to go.

I don't think booking Austria for pre-season gives any indication at all regarding whether Andre stays or not. This would have been booked a month or two ago, not as a last minute sop to try and appease the manager. If it was only just booked this feels like the same unplanned knee jerk preseason planning that we suffered from last summer.

Genuinely despair with some fans 😂
‘He talks too much, I want action!’
The season ended a couple of days ago. Get real.

Consequently, I am reserving judgement until I see what is published on Wednesday!! I am far from involved with the club (Note when I registered to the forum), but I do feel that this relegation hasn't solely been the result of his 12-month tenure so far. Nonetheless, all aspects have contributed, albeit to varying degrees. This club has been on a downward trend for some time, with the exception of the Carlos season. It desperately needed a complete overhaul last summer, but Kevin and his staff failed to recognise and act upon what is the fans were telling him. Perhaps this was due to insufficient time to thoroughly assess the club and squad, but I suspect he relies too heavily on his advisors' opinions (sometimes people get it wrong). There's no point in pulling in different directions; this club thrives on unity, and hopefully, they can now assemble a team that reunites the entire club.

I'm not associated with the club and I agree with every word he said. Maybe you need to give him the chance instead of jumping on his back. The fact you expected a fully laid out plan written on the clubs website 3 days after being relegated shows you dont really live in the real world. You reserve your judgment. My own judgement is this is a guy that cares and is passionate. It's great to have someone like that at the club.

Possibly pedantic but I dislike statements like that. His message was already inferred, but with this here you have something concrete to come back and bite you. Never understood the need for it. But anyway see what tomorrow brings

We have got someone who genuinely wants to fund our club and put in a long term plan to secure our future and the vast majority on here ( hopefully not the silent majority ) whinge about it. It is time to move on and support KN and give him the chance to put his plans in place. He admits that mistakes have been made and I am sure he will have learnt from them. Come on Kevin, “kick some butt”. UTT

I had time for this guy, but I think this is all bollocks
Everything said in this letter makes sense
It’s what’s not said that is what’s worrying
Yes, we’ve been a shit show for years, but theres no acknowledgement that there were some abysmal decisions taken this season.
We could’ve stayed up this year and sorted out the mess this summer were it not for these decisions.
Who’s to say, we’re not going to make the same abysmal decisions next year? Funding will make no difference if we do.
I can now see us struggling with relegation next year, and the fan base will be turning against this guy.
Intentions are good, and I actually like him, but in this business, I suspect doesn't know what he's doing.

Austria sounds like AB will be here. Think Wagner took them there too, would imagine a few of them will be blowing big style in those mountains. Good stuff. Altitude training works for the best cyclists in the world. Seems very logical to me that every pre season should be up at altitude. The problem is that if you train at altitude and get the red blood cell advantage, your this reverts to normal levels quite quickly upon return to lower altitudes.

Interesting, at least to me, that both Nagle and AB mentioned 10 out of 12 years being near the relegation zone. Strikes me as more than a bit of a coincidence. AB had some notes on paper in front of him in that press conference last week that he was checking before he started speaking. Irrelevant too imo. Regardless of what's gone on prior relegation wouldn't have occurred had it not been for the bat shit crazy decision making by KN and his team. It's way more relevant that we've not been relegated to L1 in the past 12 years, we've also never spent £4M in January and maybe never in a single window except for the PL. Tells you all you need to know I'm afraid. I'm getting the distinct impression that the chuckle brothers have been able to convince Kev that it's mostly someone else's fault. I'm looking forward to an announcement on the exec team and coach tomorrow but I can see nothing at all changing unfortunately. I am not sure how people don’t appreciate the learning curve involved for everyone here. My personal take is that as hard a lesson as this has been the management now realise the size of the task. Having Warnock in papered over the very large cracks and as much as he kept us up I don’t think he helped us sort out some of the big problems. KN looks like he realises this now and some major surgery is involved. I will be very interested to see the details.

A Radio Leeds interview would have been pointless It would either be 1 hour of Catherine Hannah thanking Nagle for his honesty or 1 hour of Oggy not daring to ask the obvious questions No doubt spend 10 minutes of that trying to make it about Leeds. Can’t believe people are whinging he won’t speak to them. They couldn’t give a single fuck about Town or Bradford. Id also wager they wouldn’t put out a sulky tweet if Leeds declined to speak to them.

Sounded from what DC/CD said on the first page of this thread as though there’ll be a lot more said today (“in spades”) with the season tickets release, so hang fire until then. Hopefully a lot will become clearer later on and there’ll be plenty to discuss and argue about!

Austria is also a very beautiful country. Pre-season training there, rather than Bodmin, though Bodmin is a very nice place, should be a real lift for the players. Good way to start the season.

Forums are just that, a platform to share and air views. I do hope KN (or his team) read this thread on balance. At times he must think sod it, but he doesn’t does he, he has other interests but still declares his passion for our club. This day and age is at times all want, want , want ……. Where just maybe we need to be wait, wait, wait. In this instance, well done KN, well done for doing something and even if it is hype, it is positive hype and for that I personally am grateful. My personal gripes is the poor communication from the club on all levels / platforms so this is a refreshing admission and intent (minus detail granted) but outlines his passion on paper. Thankyou Kevin, I am grateful we have an owner, have someone with meaningful financial status and also grateful you have a clear devotion towards the future. On to today, let’s see what Wednesday brings HTAFC UTT

I think one problem will be all the football world will know that we are needing, and wanting, to rebuild, so they will all play hardball on prices for players. We need some really good choices in this window. Hopefully AB gets a big say in it.
