None of us would have voted for it, but I think most are resigned now.
Thanks, Big Kevš

Our lass has booked a cosy two nights away that very same weekend , in St Anne's . This could be the biggest backfire blunder weekend away ever š¤š¤

Right letās sell out the allocation. Big club mentality for once get right behind the lads no excuses from fans side for any other part of the club to say āget behind the players you need to do your bit be the eleventh man etc.ā Blackpool fans will be thinking good time to play us as just been relegated but Iām starting to think the team that takes the field come August 10th will be a different beast.

No need for 'let's sell out the allocation' type posts - there'd be about 6,000 wanting to go!

Jesus, my 50th wedding anniversary. Now we never do much but I already have a few plans, I doubt footie will be one of them. Mind, who knows, 50 years ago, wife was asleep in our hotel in Epping, and I was watching "handbags at dawn" with the hotel porter and a few beers. That being of course the infamous charity shield day, where Bremner and Keegan both got sent off for spitting their dummies out. PS. Before anyone asks, we'd done all the other stuff before, both lived in, in a hospital etc etc. The day itself was very long, very tiring, and mostly for the benefit of her mother and friends. Hopefully for some it's the best day of their lives, we were glad it was over, and ready to drive up to the Norfolk Broads for a honeymoon the next day, which was about par for the course in 1974.

Chaos wasnāt it, they had to keep opening more stands to get everyone in. Weather was amazing and we were brilliant!

Weather was amazing and we were brilliant! In top 5 away games. The whole weekend was carnage but I was driving home after the game so I got in the ground sober and actually remember the game!

Even taking into account midweek games that still leaves a lot. I think every game of the opening round is televised so does that mean no Sat 3 o'clocks on the first weekend?

I was in the home end as my dear departed best mates sons were Blackpool fans and only early teens so took them. I think I had a stifle a laugh at one point as we were so good. Rare for us to make that sort of statement first game.....here's hoping

Cant see it tbh, i know the fixture computer just throws them out at random but i think Blackpool away first day of season has certain 'criteria' attached for most northern clubs.

I usually treat myself to a wee pre Christmas jaunt to Huddersfield around November or December time, if I can sneak in a Saturday / Tuesday double like Bristol City and Preston six months ago Iāll do it...
OK - Lifeās a bitch (although I donāt think any females are to blame) which has dumped us where we are but thereās no changing it now and Iām trying to look forward to - for me anyway - what could be a good few new teams to see live and new supporters to meet in The Yorkshire Rose Pub at The Travelodge -
But knowing ma luck itāll be Birmingham and Rotherham around then ! š¬

Does Ifollow still allow fans to watch most of the games in league 1? iFollow is no more for UK based fans as part of the new Sky deal. iFollow still available for overseas fans.

The last time we were in League One, it was quite enjoyable tbh. We finished top 10 for 5 seasons, we made the play-offs 3 seasons in a row..scoring around 80 goals a season...
We also had Southampton, Brighton, Leeds, Norwich, Bournemouth, Wednesday, Brentford, Sheffield Utd, Leicester City, Luton, Forest, Swansea in there some of the time...so it's no stranger to clubs that have gone on to have success...as we did of course.
If you look at the clubs in league one next season, there are no 'bigger' clubs like we had before..Birmingham might be considered one, but that's it.
If we can get organised , prepared and fit..(the players that is)..there is no one to fear at all. I'm quite looking forward to it now, just to be at the top half of the table instead of being the whipping boys every season.

Town scored and there was bedlam with police escorting Town fans to the away end. Same day seem to remember a Leeds fan in with the Town fans at the front and received a few punches.
