Let's see.
Would've been underwhelmed in the Championship but given our current position, I'm not sure we could've expected much more. Maybe some clever appointment from abroad but look how Kev's / Cartwright's last one turned out, so perhaps this is for the best.
Maybe he's the right balance of an easy option combined with a solid record in our division.

HUGE pressure on Nagle and his team with this appointment. Seems the sensible, pragmatic option and makes sense to me. Can’t have this appointment fail and he’s got a good track record.
I also think playing counter pressing football and not passing out from the keeper makes sense - you then don’t need to pay a premium for ‘total footballers’ all over the pitch and it’s effective in the championship too.

Really positive appointment this. Somehow I think Mr Duff will sort out the problems in the dressing room and get the best out of what's left. Glad I renewed my ticket anyway and I now predict Town will finish in the top one with over a century of goals scored. However, we will still not get a penalty at home all season.

John Gregory tracky bottoms with socks pulled over up to knee, training top Carlo ancelloti suited and booted Klopp full club branded training gear and coat Arteta suit trousers and smart jumper over the shirt  ?? Duff likes a high pressing 352, and Darren Moore prefers a defensive 532. Formations have similarities but they're not identical. In terms of profile? Yeah, probably. I think Duff's reputation now is similar to what Moore's was then in terms of stature within the game. Moore's reputation has probably fallen further than Duff's has in the last 12 months though. I'm undecided on this. Mostly underwhelmed if I'm honest. Excitement level 4/10. There are potential reasons for optimism, and I'm pleased that we've got someone in early, but I can't help but think we've missed out on a few more promising opportunities. |
