Phil Hodgkinson said it was his idea when he did the first Q&A at the Odeon cinema in 2019. Club said otherwise in their launch though. Wouldn't be the first time Phil made stuff up.

Really don’t like the robot Terrier, so poorly done, and looks incongruous on the badge

But i really like it and so do my mates. The Terrier icon? Fair play! Don't know many who share the opinion but I suppose some will. Yes the terrier icon. And conversely apart from som that moan about it on here I have never spoken to anyone that doesn't like it.

I noticed that some of the retro shirts on sale have 1908 in the place where the manufacturers logo would have been.
I wonder if we are going down the route of producing some of our own merchandise under that branding.

At the risk of spamming more of my designs on here I just couldn't help myself but try a more modern version without the dog: Think it works quite well and then we could always use the dog icon elsewhere or for it's own range in the club shop.

Stick an A before the FC and it looks good. Although I am a fan of the minus the shield!

Looks OK but couldn’t you reposition the two white roses and add a third to commemorate the thrice champions? Also, AFC as noted above.

Typeface too cartoony in my opinion but beautiful otherwise

A bit of useless information for you. There was a castle on the site in the 14th century and after that it became a prison, but due to the adverse weather conditions over the years the place fell in to disrepair. Fast forward a few centuries we now have a shambles of a council that has left the whole Town in to disrepair, there is a hell of a lot of history connected to Castle Hill and other councils would have welcomed that and made road improvements and made the place a tourist attraction. The last time i was up their it was a dump and full of Blue Gas cannisters.

Maybe if the club were to centre it as the symbol of our identity, then the town & council might start to take it more seriously.

Needs the three stars in the middle on the stripes. Other than that I think it works.

I know a lot of people hated it at the time, but I always wished we had stuck with the updated badge the club used in the early 2000s. It could have been tweaked slightly to make it better, rather than ditching it completely. I know people love the traditional, but at some point the club needs to move forward. And I am not suggesting we use that rubbish dog logo from the Premier League years. For the record, I hate it. I agree. Always loved that badge as looked cleaner, but thought you could put the Victoria Tower (Castle Hill) where there Terrier is and then the Terrier on top of the circle in the centre. Would be distinctive and feature most of the bits of the original (traditional ). Also agreed regards the robo dog. It is horrid and needs scrapping ASAP

I didn't mind it at the time and it's not like the original one was consigned to the bin. You can't erase history, it was just a different version. I think a cross between what we currently have, and the round one would be the way to go. Something with cleaner lines basically but retaining much of what the badge currently has. I think it needs to be encapsulated in some sort of shape, whether that be round or more of a shield. What it shouldn't be is a shield within a shield which is what it is currently. Looks small and crap next to other crests on TV and that's the main issue to me. Unfortunately it's what the world saw in the PL era. Instead of cleaning up the they stuck that cartoon Chinese dog on the shirt. Summed up the decision making for that second season tbh.

If the council took it seriously, they would move it stone by stone to Dewsbury.

I love tradition and our badge minus the shield is best imho of course (think 99 strip) I love the council too which still has the Latin on it which I believe the club used to endorse also? It’s on the bridges near the Yorkshire rose pub? I think it translates as forward in unity or as one? Happy to be corrected but if that’s history of the town maybe bring it back? Sorry I’m only a town fan through my dad and not from Huddersfield but have been coming up since 1993 and feel more part of the town than where I’m from. Town fans are amongst the friendliest people I’ve ever met. So I feel a strong bond with the area. As an “outsider” everytime I come up I’m always envious of how beautiful the area is. Everyone I bring up always comments on how stunning it is. Beautiful rural countryside and traditional Yorkshire stone built buildings is very desirable now. UTT

Hows the logo coming on for BS AFC. If we could get the castle logo over the BS lettering, think it would look decent.

I don't like the numbers separated out into 19 and 08, although it would be nice to include the founding year somewhere - (and I find the choice of font a bit jarring compared to that used for the rest of the text)
