The first international cricket match was played in New York between USA and Canada. In fact, that is the oldest international in any sport. (A fact I heard on the radio reporting on the US beating Canada in a WC warm up game held in Texas). Last time I was over there Raj tried to explain cricket to me. And he’s a wonderful teacher. My goodness though, it’s just not happening for me. I’m struggling with baseball lately and I’ve loved that game my whole life. But compared to cricket, baseball is constant crazy action. To each their own but yeah no chance Have a look at the Cricket T20 World Cup that's just started. I'm assuming you can watch it in the USA seeing as some of the games are taking place in the New York area. The rest are in the West Indies.

Not specifically what you're asking about but just something to note. Yesterday I went to the T20 cricket. ( Justasmithers, Cricket is a sport where a match can take 5 days, from 10.30am til 7pm, end in a draw and everyone enjoys it. Like baseball on valium) Anyway, at Headingly cricket stadium I noticed you can sign on for free wifi. And as if that wasn't good enough, the adjacent Headingly Rugby Stadium had a service too ( Justasmithers, Rugby is a very aggressive sport where the teams try to get the ball over their opponents' defensive line, and to stop their opponents from doing the same by tackling them very physically, without helmets or pads. Like gridiron for grown ups). Anyway, I wondered if you might have a with His Holiness, Lord Moustache, and suggest of they can do it we can, once he has secured full control of the stadium. I'm not massively bothered about surfing the web during a match but it is frustrating to find oneself unable to cash out on your favourite betting app when you know Town are are about to screw your acca. ( Justasmithers, an acca is an "accumulator" - a series of connected bets on sporting outcomes that need to all happen for you to win, usually with much bigger odds than a single result. Like Vegas without the hookers, senior citizens soiling themselves on the slot machines and Elvis). You seem to have quite the elevated idea of these minor sports, but let’s all remember what happened with Cornwallis when he had elevated ideas as well. I’ll check it out. Wifi would be great Cornwallis? That's where we had preseason last year, wasn't it?

I hear you on the first one, allow me to try and explain. Obviously the season was a bit hectic. Honestly there just wasn’t the time to work on shooting and the like as before. The final episode of the season (and epilogue) are done and ready, but we decided it would be a little insensitive to release it during or immediately after a relegation fight. Perhaps an error, perhaps not. But trying to err on the side of being thoughtful. Final episode will be released likely late this or early next month. I guess the challenge is we see lots of positive words but not much really ends up being followed through 🤷♂️ If the episode (and an epilogue beyond that) is "done and ready" - it really *has* to be published before the return to pre-season on Monday, otherwise it becomes a confusing nod to the past in amongst everyone starting to get enthused by the upcoming season. It's already late in my eyes, optimally it should have been out within a fortnight of the season ending, and/or early in the season ticket renewal window, whereas since the season has ended its felt like there's been limited engagement (scared of doing the wrong thing and a fear of negatively impacting sales, so opting to do nothing instead is what it SEEMS like). Town fans KNOW last season was dismal and had a nightmare end, acknowledging that isn't going to knock us out of our passion and support, its going to show us that we're all in this together. (Basically, I'm saying...GET THE VIDEO'S OUT...I've "completed" Youtube already during the summer break !!!)

Hello all! Glad to see you’re seeing just some of the changes off pitch being made over at HQ. Going to be a lot of really cool things on the horizon. I wanted to create this thread specifically for content- website, app, socials, etc. As the offseason gets into full gear, I’d love some suggestions as to what you see/look for as far as club content goes. I know there are many ideas under the “Club Communication” thread I’ve been spying on, but thought I’d crystallize it a bit here. Any input is as always appreciated. UTT On the topic of improving things. This Town Lotto needs changing from a 1990s system to an online app. shop.htafc.com/lottery-services/lotteries/Partnership with an online provider give a quick turnaround potentially? A development of the lotto ticket business to similar to www.botb.com Justasmithers

Two lovely pieces of comm's ahead of our return to the Mac tonight; a nice insight/explanation of the 'rebranding' and the changes to the stadium. and a lovely video just, well, about Town.
Polished. Stirring.

Good to hear that we're dropping this "little old Huddersfield" underdog bollocks.

There just seems to be a whole new atmosphere surrounding the club, a more professional and polished appearance.
I like what I'm seeing.

Let’s hope it translates to on field success too, might stop SOME of the whinging 😂 Ultimately that is what matters. Everything around the club feels newer, fresher, more advanced and overall just better than a year or 2 back, except the team on the pitch.

Good to hear that we're dropping this "little old Huddersfield" underdog bollocks. Brilliant stuff this in the space of 12 months. We look ridiculously more professional than we have over the past decade, where we had fallen way behind our counterparts. Hopefully the same starts to apply on the pitch.

Can't relate to this at all. I watch the game. I then move on with the rest of my life until the next game.
Maybe I'm in a minority on here but am I in a minority overall?
Nevertheless, excellent effort for those who care about Town more than I do

What it does do is makes us look good to potential new fans, new sponsors, and crucially, new players (who of course are primarily driven by money, but the smaller details add up)

Also, kids, they notice this type of stuff, they see PL clubs and how they go about things. If town can match that it can only help them attract and keep the fans of the future. Get them through the door for a kick off and then the experience needs to be impressive enough to make them want to come back. Details matter. Really looking forward to seeing the improvements.

Nevertheless, excellent effort for those who care about Town more than I do Creating content that relates to everyone is near on impossible. It’s not that the club doesn’t resonate with you. Or want to. It’s all about looking for the biggest wins. They’re just looking at audience and directing towards the biggest gains. That’s sustainability. Nevertheless, I hope you stick around. They and we need you regardless. That’s longevity.

You care far more than you admit, otherwise you wouldn’t bother coming on here

You'll search long and hard to find an opinion of a game or player

You want a team to win, but it won't spoil your day whatever the result. I'm like that at Town games
