My post was simply saying we have a new manager who has used possession or reasonably direct tactical approaches at different clubs. Our squad now might have trouble with a more direct approach to attacking and would fall over badly trying to go through the thirds. Its therefore hard to guess how we would go on without significant changes in personell. There was nothing last season that you could point to and say that would work better, he would be great, in a lower division.?? The current players with a new manager and having got over the dreadfull relegation may turn up and play far better personally and as a team? Problem being not many of the ‘decent’ ‘current’ players will be here come the start of the season!!! Who knows??? Rudoni had obviously fallen out with everyone, it would have been hard to make an offer to try and keep him. Sorba may have takers but we will demand a fair sum, so who knows?? Helik could be offered a deal to stay, he didnt wrap his hand in last season and he seems well liked and vice versa. Who is going to take Ward on?? There may be a couple of suprises...?

the illuminations should be still on too! They finish just after New Years Day. It was like Blackpool illuminations all the time in our house until my stepdaughter moved out!

Bugger, Crawley Town away 9th November; problem is that is my mum’s 101st birthday that day so we could all be up in Birstall. I was hoping we'd play them on Halloween, so I could use my "Creepy Crawley" joke.

My first thought, was what on earth are the fixtures kicking off at 5.30pm for. Yet more ruination of traditional football, and I still think that....BUT!
in this case it actually means I can get a direct train from Darlington, both ways, and whilst it may cost me a taxi fro Darlo on the way back, (£20 or so) as her indoors will not be picking me up at that time, it's still cheaper than staying over. Always assuming of course I can get a ticket, which I'm working on, and if necessary I'll play neutral and sit on my hands.

I just had a horrible moment.
"Why the f*** have we not got a game on 2nd November? I thought International breaks didn't apply in this sh*tty league".....
.....but then I remembered ...
.....F A Cup round One.....
Anybody who wasn't that bothered about relegation needs to see someone and get their bumps checked out ...
....as TBF do I for getting a season ticket to endure the double whammy of this sh8*te league and the f*****g M1 this winter..

If only KN hadn’t come along things would have been so much better (not). If it’s going to be that depressing for you then can I suggest you keep your money in your pocket and stay at home!

I'd take a first round Fa cup game over, the countless amounts of tedious international breaks we had in the championship. Especially given how poor this tournament has been so far. Who knows we could actually go on a run this year!!!

If Town don't have the necessary number of international players to get your game postponed then we have to hope our opponents don't either to avoid rearranging fixtures.......Blackpool (home,Sept), Leyton Orient (away, Oct) & Wycombe Wanderers (home/away, Nov/March).

I've not looked properly at all the fixtures but the only one that looks as though I'll need to get away from work early for is the Wrexham game - that's one of the ones my son wants to go to.
Just got to wait to see what gets shifted for Sky and then there's possibly postponements on the international weekends as, again, some of them are new grounds for my son.

Blackpool away in winter again. Honestly think the toughest games of the season are all crammed in the first seven away games. The run in looks kind. Don’t want to be in this division but looking for positives, looking forward to a lot of the away games. Preston, Blackburn, Stoke…was getting boring and repetitive.

Only realistic game for me is Exeter away, season all but done by time that rolls round 🫤 L33ds are at Plymouth a week later for their last game of the season..........A long trip back up North if you miss out on promotion, hopefully just them, again.

You weren’t alone in being puzzled about the 3 games in Nov. For all this is a shock to the system for some, we’ve been here before and I think it’s fair to say, that the last time we dropped into this level we hadn’t had as long a period up there as we have recently. Hopefully we can keep that memory strong and hope the player’s remember what they’re missing as well. But we also need to apply a bit of humility this season, let’s not big ourselves up to the point it comes across as arrogant & we fall flat on our arse. Quiet confidence, not getting carried away is the order of the day…

I've been up today so I thought I'd measure just how long the roadworks are now. 27 f******miles between junctions 28 and 35a. And to add insult to injury, even the bit near Sheffield between the two sets had the variable speed limit on for a (non-existent) obstruction. Evening games are going to be interesting to get to next season.

Posh away 10th August. This brings back memories..
Then 2 winnable home games against Stevenage and Shrewsbury, then Rotherham away will be a real test of where we’re at. Last time our was the awful draw under the last manager.
That’s a definite away day for me early doors. I’d like to go there unbeaten and ideally top of the league.

The most pointless thread of the year While I am enjoying the break from domestic football dooky after that arduous season from hell, just ended a few weeks ago, I for one anyway, very much look forward to the fixtures realease for the up and coming seasons in August... It lets me roughly draft out all off ma plans for a pre Christmas trip treat to my favourite English town of Huddersfield 😊 and favourite English county of Yorkshire... 👍 It also let’s me outline ma planning for an end of season springtime trip as well to take in the beautiful scenery in more daylight... Hopefully I can, all things being well, on at least one of the trips, get a midweek game as well and do some touring and drinking in new towns for me in between (Did Rotherham and Barnsley in December and Wakefield and Castleford the season before and Halifax and Emely the season before that) ! Ah well that scenario looks a no go-er for me this season sadly... ☹️ There is nothing near in the run up till Christmas with a Saturday home game followed by a second home midweek game so ma sightseeing trip to new Yorkshire towns (for me) looks doomed ! It’ll either be Huddersfield Town v Charlton Athletic on Saturday 23rd November or Huddersfield Town v Lincoln City on Saturday 14th December... At The Springtime end of the season it did cross my mind to potentially try for Huddersfield Town v Cambridge United on Friday 18th April and possibly do Stockport County v Huddersfield Town on Monday 21st April as a double header and be back to Glasgow that night, however it’s ma sisters birthday on April 19th and she’s liable to want me to drive the family to dinner at a restaurant and have a ‘few’ drinks in the house thereafter... So it looks like Huddersfield Town v Leyton Orient for me on Saturday 3rd of May where (hopefully) I’ll be watching Town lift the Silverware and declared as League 1 Champions and complete that set of all four divisions as Champions... Anyway as long as I get two weekends in my favourite English Town (Huddersfield) and ma favourite English County (Yorkshire) separated by a few months then I’ll be a very happy chappy indeed ! 😊
