Great result. 3 points, clean sheet, pretty much dominated. The press works really well. We will only get better as the season goes on. UTT

Good result and performance. Came away feeling quite optimistic as I think we had a couple more levels we could have gone up in that second half. Very workmanlike in the second half particularly and you can see the style we are trying to implement.
Clean sheet away against the highest goal scorers in the league last season, surely no one can complain about that?

Fuck what has happened 2-2. Now... some people around the World, follow DATM for match updates. Malicious post? At one time you'd have had a red card for that. Fortunately, the Admins are very liberal!

2-2 draw written all over it. Changed my mind. Peterborough have lost three or four big players, not convinced they’ll be top six this season. Posh 0-1 Town Nearly.

We are top!
Good performance, some control and quality. We need to be more cutting at times as teams will come and defend, but to win against these shits on the first day is extremely pleasing.
Glad I got my Morecambe tickets the other day as suspect it’ll be busier now 😆

It wasn’t even Mids mate 😂 I called out a post because saying Wiles starting in midfield is tragic after 20 mins, after he’s been our best player in pre-season is ridiculous. Also, it was a joke. If I called a player out and they scored and someone took the piss on my comment I’d laugh. Stop getting so angry. I am old enough and big enough to take the hindsighted comment in good jest as Big Ern says, it’s no big deal, we have varying opinions. I for one still don’t think Ben wiles is good enough to be a mainstay in this midfield but I’m happy to say he put in an 8/10 today. Glad you took it in good spirit mate! Like you say it’s all opinions, I think he’ll be good enough this season looks fit now. But guess time will tell 👍

A bit shaky to start, but after the first goal utterly in control and never looked back. I think it’s a key victory even at this stage. After last season, we needed a good start for a good season, and we’re off to a flier against one of the strongest sides in the division, keeping a clean sheet against notable free-scorers. Psychologically, all of that helps to wipe the mental slate after last season.
Lees, Evans in particular tremendous. And I do like Miller. Daft booking, but looked the part.

The Hoggy haters can get back in the box for a few months I don't hate him, not by a long shot, but he shouldn't be starting and he proved why today.

Only joking for those on sky+ Brilliant haha. Fell for that as well - A bit of return swearing for Lewis next door to listen to after all his emotional rollercoaster today... But Jack says all is well - Thank Fcuk that I took ma Rimiprol Blood Pressure capsule BEFORE the game after reading that - Off to the local pub to celebrate tonight then... Thank You HTAFC for making mine a DOUBLE 🥃 🥃 all night then !!!! 😊 👍

Tell you what, each new signing looked good on the evidence of today. All of them got really stuck in, were brave, and showed some good technical ability.

What more can we want. Fantastic result without getting out of 2nd gear.
Bonus being a clean sheet.
Miller absolutely fantastic, with 2 actual wing backs in him and Sorenson makes a difference.
My opinion, every man did their job, there wasn't a 'stand out' in terms of better or worse than the others. All 11 and subs did their role and that's what brings results, specially away.

Is it just me or is Spencer not ready to be starting week in week out? Even though we have won, I have to say that I do think we have gone a bit overboard on our rating of Spencer. When he first came back from his loan he looked good but tailed off badly at the end of last season and today I thought he was our weak link at the back. Makes rash challenges when people go past him and gives the ball away too much. A talent in the making but alot to learn.

Can’t wait for Stevenage to smash us next week and all of datm goes back to sending each other death threats.

Very good performance overall. Grew in to the game after a slow start and really controlled the second half once’s we got our noses in front.
Healey could have had a couple. Helik didn’t look offside.
Those two through balls from Kane were excellent too.
Good start!

Looking back at posts makes me chuckle.
"Well we seem to be fitting in well to our new level. We are poor. 😞"
"Might be a touch early but just had a sneaky peek at potential away days in league 2." This post deserves ***.
"Have to say... pretty poor so far". After 10 minutes.
"Hogg off". After 30 minutes.
"5-6 passes connecting would be a decent start. Style of play will have to wait a few weeks".
"We are playing shit."
"Spencer is poor".
"Is it still to early to say this is very poor?".
"This is fucking horrendous. What have we been doing pre season?" OK... this is the best post yet... we were winning 2-0 at the time.
Fuck it... I only got to page 14 and, even though this is not a British thing, I can't be bothered in outing those that need therapy.

Let's people go away from him as if he's trying to prove he can sprint and catch them up. That Jones up front for them showed otherwise

Excellent 2nd half, the way we got at them straight from half time drained them of any hope & energy they had.
Didn't look to be anything wrong with the Helik goal either but we looked fitter & stronger than them.
Superb start to the season, well done Duff & all the squad.

Much better second half, fully in control, looked good off the ball and had chances to extend the lead. Whatever was said at half time by Duff worked a treat. It’s a long time since we were cruising a game 2-0 in that manner where you don’t feel like a goal is coming.
Hard to tell properly on camera but that striker for Boro looked like he had indulged in a couple of extra portions over the summer.

Good performance. Nice to see Wiles make a contribution. Woukd have liked to see either one of rhys or Josh score just gor the confidence gorbith them and us fans. Thought we were a bit wasteful of opportunities at times but overall pretty solid UTT

How classy did Kane look in his short cameo. He uses the ball so well compared to what we've been used to seeing in there for the past few years where the ball pings around like a hot potato
