Peterborough play suicide football at the back. Crazy. Reasonably comfortable win for Town. Kept a good shape and played some good stuff at times.

Peterborough play suicide football at the back. Crazy. Reasonably comfortable win for Town. Kept a good shape and played some good stuff at times. That really puzzled me. Once you know it’s not working and you’re prone to a mistake, just change tack. I’d be furious if that were Town and we continued the one dimensional approach at the back.

Good performance 2nd half especially and saw the game out comfortably. Shocked at how bad this league is, it’s fucking appalling.

Looking back at posts makes me chuckle."Well we seem to be fitting in well to our new level. We are poor. 😞" "Might be a touch early but just had a sneaky peek at potential away days in league 2." This post deserves ***."Have to say... pretty poor so far". After 10 minutes."Hogg off". After 30 minutes."5-6 passes connecting would be a decent start. Style of play will have to wait a few weeks". "We are playing shit." "Spencer is poor". "Is it still to early to say this is very poor?". "This is fucking horrendous. What have we been doing pre season?" OK... this is the best post yet... we were winning 2-0 at the time.Fuck it... I only got to page 14 and, even though this is not a British thing, I can't be bothered in outing those that need therapy. You are aware that people aren't what they write, right? Therapy hahahahahaha

We could be looking at 100 plus points this season possibly a little premature to say this. It bodes well and i would put Peterborough up there as a top 10 side but maybe they aren't.

Impressive second half apart from we didn't score. Would be nice to see a striker with some pace leading the line for us.

Very comfortable win today, they couldn’t handle our press at all. Keep playing like that and we’ll be up there.

Weird feeling this for the following reasons We scored We scored away We won We won away We didn’t concede We didn't lose DATM is happy Can’t wait for Stevenage to smash us next week and all of datm goes back to sending each other death threats. Add this one We scored again Pity we did not get a pen to cap it off.

Only saw the second half as we were out for the first 20 minutes and then didn't realise it was on the red button until half time. We looked very comfortable in the second half and whilst 40+ years of watching Town has taught me never to be complacent, it felt good to be watching a team who seemed to know what they were doing, both with and without the ball, and we never seriously looked like we were going to lose it - although Jack did have me worried with the 2-1 scoreline.

A couple of things from today.
1. We looked like a team, rather than a group of players.
2. We looked miles fitter than last season.
Also, surely Helik wasn't offside for the goal that was disallowed? He wasn't from the original cross and it looked like the keeper then touched it, so he can't have been offside.

That set of lads that started are used to far better opponents and far harder games than this
I almost felt sorry for them it was that easy
Let's hope we don't get complacent...the lads could probably play again Tomorrow..I'm sure they've had harder training sessions than this

Imagine that, shit squaded Town win away to Posh while Brum who are gonna walk the league draw at home to “basket case” Reading, whoda thunk it?
Only downer is our “old and past it” defenders kept a clean sheet to fk up my prediction league start 😂

How classy did Kane look in his short cameo. He uses the ball so well compared to what we've been used to seeing in there for the past few years where the ball pings around like a hot potato I was saying to the kids when watching the game he looked like a League 1 version of Mooy. Always made time on the ball, always looked for the return ball after laying it off and a couple of clever through balls.

Job done. Cohesive (in the main), no longer a soft touch in midfield, new signings look good. No complaints and looking forward to the next game. UTT

Fuck what has happened 2-2. Now... some people around the World, follow DATM for match updates. Malicious post? At one time you'd have had a red card for that. Fortunately, the Admins are very liberal! Overton is a calm presence. Keith will shoot to kill unless he’s on the golf course. I’m just a sadistic son of a….and didn’t want to delete the original post

No drunken rant. Just pleased I see our club coming together. Even first half- quality told.
Totally bossed the second half.

And how good to see Birmingham held to a draw. Their players shorts must’ve have been weighing them down carrying their wallets with the big pay packets in.
Or maybe it was the pressure of expectation?

Great start.....really needed to get that first win on the board to build a sense of optimism.
Not perfect.....took some time in the first half to start getting the passing basics right but second half really good....should have been more. But I've rarely been as comfortable at 2-0 up.
No idea how competitive Peterbrough are in this league....not very on that performance but sure they will have better days.
The main couple of takeaways are firstly that, as you might expect, the league is more forgiving. Mistakes aren't always punished and the ball comes back to us if we simply force an error. Remember the Prem.....every single mistake was punished, bit less so in championship....certainly less so here.
Secondly that we might see a whole new level of officials incompetence. Just thought it was a badly handled game....some really daft decisions on things that didn't matter too much like throw ins but the third 'goal'. It was just onside surely. It felt onside...it looked onside....the ball travelled too far. Real lack of game appreciated throughout from the officials.
Loved that Healey actually attacked crosses...how long since we've seen that! Koroma could have an excellent season against more limited defenders. Miller looked bright. Sorenson a little quiet. Thought Evans actually had a poor first half hour but clicked after the goal. Helik we have to keep....probably the most important link to really get that solid defence.
Every game winnable. That's the way to look at this. One small step but really positive
