Both the Ruffels yellow and the Pearson red are an absolute joke for me. In neither case were the Walsall players going to get to the ball so they have thrown themselves to the ground under minimal contact (neither of those contacts if there even was any, would make you go down like they did). Its absolutely pathetic. I would say Pearson was very naive, but he didnt really do anything a defender wouldnt do, he was just trying to put him off.
Then just to see exactly what the referee is up to, you only have to look at 2 incidents where Walsall players should have been booked. Adomah after 5 minutes, pulls back Wiles, hands around his fucking waist, just as we are about to break with Walsall committed men forward. Adomah goes down pretending to be injured, why is that not a yellow, or was there too much contact. Then once again with our breaking forward later in the half, when they had a man down, their player is pulling, grabbing, ref sees it because he plays advantage, we put the ball out of play so Walsall man can get treatment, does he go back to book the Walsall player? Course he doesnt. Too much contact again for this prick.
All I can say is that its a good job their number 7 couldnt hit a cows arse with a banjo, otherwise we would be 2-1 down.
