I've been surprised by Evans in these first few games and not in a good way. I was expecting a player who is constantly getting on the ball and dictating play but he's nothing like that.
Hopefully it's partly down to getting used to a new system and team mates

Ah. That must be why both have given the ball away everytime and beaten by their men; it’s Walsalls system that’s the issue. I’m starting to think we need to step up. Walsall are doing quite well and Shrewsbury were decent, but a lot of it is because we are bad and making stupid mistakes It is, I’m sorry to say, symptomatic of what we’ve seen both pre-season and the season so far (baring Morecambe); exposing a painfully slow back three with high wing-backs, and an immobile / limited base on the ball / in possession (the back three plus the DM). |

Does anyone know which of the coaching staff is giving the player instructions that we can hear? Really good perspectives being added Mainly Duff. But the quieter voice (appearing more in the background) is Paterson. |

Hopefully it's partly down to getting used to a new system and team mates I think it’s more down to the patterns of possession or lack of it. He often takes up really good positions, but he’s rarely found. Most of our outplay comes through the left at the moment. It doesn’t help when it starts with either Lees or Pearson and then fed to Hoggy. |

Been disappointed with Evans, thought we were getting a lot more. Nothing tends to be coming off for him at the moment.

These players still represent a lack of change at the club, and for me I think any success this season will be despite them not because of them |

Get Hogg off and get Kasumu on at half time, although he's not been the worst offender tonight by any means. He has a but of energy to his play.

Hogg, headley, ruffels, turton, Pearson (when he has the ball)
Wiles and Evans also not having good games
