Fuck being downtrodden, you’ve got to fight. Giving up isn’t living. Cartwright should be sacked, he’s failed to bring in a striker. If people think dropping points to Rotherham is ok, then we aren’t going back up. I’m not disagreeing, just saying it’s been tough to watch town run into obvious trouble for the last few years when we can’t really do anything about it. Yeah I know, it’s not really aimed at you, just the people who think we can’t do better, that the window was a success, that you should ban people for mentioning that we didn’t get our business done, Cartwright had one job, he failed again. It’s aimed at the Birmingham paid double the wages, Luton were the reason we have no striker, we didn’t win because of the ref. Are there more than 2 strikers in the league? Was there 70 other minutes to win the game and put it out of sight? Its just excuse after excuse for seasons now.

Good interview from Pattinson. Fair assessment of how the game went. Let’s hope they do learn cos it’s going to be a long season again otherwise. It's Paterson not Pattinson (isn't he from Twilight?), why do people continually struggle so much with spelling our own players and staff names correctly? It started during the Prem years on motd and has since spread to the fanbase.

I'm sorry, how is that a red? Just seen it for the first time and I'm not quite sure what to say.

I'm sorry, how is that a red? Just seen it for the first time and I'm not quite sure what to say. Of the three ‘errors’, the red card is the least worst. You could half argue, there was intent and it was daft. Hogg’s ‘challenge’ and the penalty are more cause for outrage imo.

Ward’s arm is below shoulder level and he doesn’t touch him.

We should try appeal Ward's red card but if we can't I'd hope Tuesday counts as a game he'll have to miss If we appeal can we ask they increase from 3 to rest of season 🤷♂️

The refs the wrong side to even see it aswell, I don't believe the linesman flagged, so he's given it based on the rotherham players reaction.

Serious question: when did we get a match-changing wrong decision go in our favour (whether or not we took advantage of it)? An opponent sent off at a key time, or a penalty given wrongly?

Anyone that was in the "we will be alright camp" when we didn't bring Taylor/another striker in changed their mind after today?

Feel like we rode our luck a lot in the season Warnock kept us up, everything seemed to go for us in that run in.

Sometimes penalties are soft. Sometimes they are down to an opinion. For the life of me i can’t understand what the ref thinks he’s seen. There is nothing there, not even anything to debate.

Absolutely woeful.. as bad, if not worse than under Moore.
Not a chance we will be back in the championship any time soon.
3 wins covered some serious deficiency in our squad and now we are left with a squad seriously underpowered again.
Feel sorry for Kev.... his advisors are killing him and splashing his green on some right donkeys.

I thought Koroma was excellent Agreed, he can hold his head high. Nigel grew into the game after a shocking start. I thought his passing was excellent.

I'm sorry buy this squad is not good enough for promotion. Terrible depth and Evans is utterly crap. We desperately need Kane back. Lets face it, we are no where near a promotion side and its a mid table finish at best. We were screaming out for a striker so who makes the decision that we are good enough up front not to bring a striker in and all this garbage about their only being two decent strikers worth bringing here. Nothing has changed, i feel slightly sorry for Nagel and the fans because we are being let down yet again.

Imagine thinking that a second after Schindler’s penalty made that rippling noise that in six to seven short years we’d be playing second fiddle to Wrexham

I haven’t, it wasn’t anything to do with quality of our strikers today We had Koroma running all over trying to hold the ball up. The 'quality' of his hold up was decent, the quantity of his and our hold up was very low. We have to spend more time on the ball in the opponents half. Therefore the strikers have to do better at least in enabling us to get up the pitch more often and stay for longer. That we had one 'injured' in the warm up and one sent off for being a dick and one on a continual sick note, makes further mockery of the owners statement the other day.

I bet when we start getting back in our stride, and we will under Duff, we don’t see a feather of your tail.

That's the last 3 games at Rotherham that we've been on the end of a wrong penalty decision. Two years ago Rudoni was taken from behind - nothing. Last year Kasumu and now this one. All potentially cost us points

It could be argued that we scored our goal because the ref had not yet allowed their player back on the pitch. At the time, we had benefitted from a referee making a wrong decision. Until he made up for it very soon.

It’s been an ok start but we have been naive today and the fact we haven’t played well rode our luck on the previous games just means that there’s a lot more work to be done to be contenders but it’s not all doom and gloom we are in a decent position after a few games in a shity league Worryingly, we haven’t played a decent team yet. Agreed, which shows how shit this league is as Peterborough and Rotherham will both be top 8.

The penalty is a foul on Sorensen if anything. The bloke slips and takes him out. Absolute joke decision.

This thread reads like the world is going to end. we barely lost our first league game loss of the season today. I believe without the horrible refereeing we would’ve scraped at least a draw, if not a win away to a team expected to finish top half.
Realistically We’ve played four and we’ve already got a third of the total wins we got last season. We have hired well this summer even if we didn’t get that extra striker. our manager has had a clear cut tactical plan from the start and we’re currently a point behind automatic promotion.
Get some new sheets on those beds, get behind the lads and UTFT.
