Did anyone see anyone defending for their lives tonight ? Northampton were throwing themselves into challenges to block shots on Saturday, whilst we dangled a leg out.
Exactly the same tonight, slow to react, weak in the tackle and no desire to block shots or crosses.
Pathetic.

At least we can now get past "it's all Hogg" and realise it's the system and setup which is slow as fuck, has no movement and is reliant on 2 wing backs creating everything. And all our wingbacks are currently bang out of form too just to add salt to the wounds.

Blackpool won’t find an easier team to play against, we’re useless and it’s embarrassing Neither Northampton or Blackpool have needed to get out of second gear to batter the life out of our pathetic set of players.

Haven’t watched the game tonight but I was at the game Saturday. Hate watching Town on TV. I saw Blackpool opening game of the season at Crawley and Crawley totally deserved their win. Blackpool looked nowt then. Bruce seems to have got them playing for him, fair play to him.
Very worrying with Town. I really want Duff to do well, I like him but there’s a deep, deep malaise in this club. It just seems rotten.

Great effort Town. So unlucky. I wish. Two awful home performances. I had high hopes for Duff but not sure what he's thinking now. He seems as slow in thought as the players Jesus when ShortbreadPete says it’s been awful you know the club is fucked I try to be positive but am struggling just now

This is ridiculous. We were told there was an attitude problem and an issue with a large amount of the team. We were told that a clear out was needed. I wonder what Cartwright was saying to KN? Its clear that things are still rotten. One manager said we had an attitude problem and he was the worst manager with the worst results, he could have been just pointing the finger at the players to try and rescue the managers reputation. It did not work and he ran away anyway. Hard to argue that he was wrong though. He probably knew that the problems wouldn't be addressed.

Well I thought Saturday was bad but somehow we were worse tonight. Squad looks woefully short, if we keep playing 3-5 fucking 2 then we may as well pack it in. He's not going to change. The players brought in were done so to play that formation.

I’m sick of seeing things like the players are not chasing or running hard enough. Whilst true, the core of the problem is and has always been THE CORE OF THE TEAM ARE NOT FUCKING GOOD ENOUGH. And why is that? We have not spent sufficient money to address the problems. Lees, Hogg, no strikers, we are wank and rotten.
We can’t pass a football. Northampton and Blackpool had a first touch and one touch passing. We’re incapable of it and have been for many years.

I definitely need a rest from watching this club for a while, it’s depressing as hell.
Not sure where we go as a club from here, surely we can’t keep sacking managers? It’s hard to put a finger on what’s wrong inside the club, I’m starting to think the losing mentality is just too ingrained.
Ideally we needed a whole clear out top to bottom, no face from last season should still be here this one, including the staff and recruitment.

I really want Duff to do well, I like him but there’s a deep, deep malaise in this club. It just seems rotten. Lees interview is a giveaway, Nicholls albeit has been in decent form looks so disinterested in the side this year, Helik looks deflated as if a move somewhere was blocked... crocked strikers, reliant on young teenage loanees, players who seemingly give up too easily when things aren't going their way, and putting in super inconstant performances, one week theyre half decent, next I would laugh at them if they were to mention they were a pro if playing in a sunday league game. Lees is probably on his last legs, similar to Pearson, although good pro's legs have seemingly gone, our midfield has zero bite, we have no b*astard anywhere in our team, surprised they all have a pair of b*llocks and knob, and don't walk around in thongs and wear dresses to be fair, we're so incredibly soft, it's hurts.

It’s just so predictable. Duff is naff, I’m starting to realise why Darren Moore had his number. One of them shit managers who has one formation and style and is fucked when it doesn’t work. Steve Bruce probably just said let them fuck about at the back. And on the flip side probably knew that we wouldn’t press when they had it

Crying out for Kasumu's energy in the middle He's played in many similar shite performances albeit in the league above.. People keep saying bring so and so in. He did what everyone was asking for and we were even worse. It doesn't matter who plays.

Crying out for Kasumu's energy in the middle I agree-ish, until he misplaces a 5 yard passes and the Kilner Bank get on his back, and suddenly DATM scapegoat him again.

We are incredibly soft in midfield and also in defense. I can see why Hogg does play to add a bit of bite in there, even though he's years past it. I think Wiles, Kane, Evans, and Hodge while technically ok, we really don't have any b*stard in there, to give us momentum when a game is stale with a good crunching winning tackle, a voice, a leader, get in the oppositions face. We are so incredibly nice, it's annoying. Performances have been worrying, It's very early in the season, but Wrexham and Birmingham will probably run away with the league, we'll struggle to make play offs if these performances continue. If you're playing 3-5-2, you need pacey CBs who are good with the ball, and a midfield that can completely control a game. Our system doesn't work im afraid with the players at our disposal, we're so incredibly easy to setup and play against. The only bit I'd disagree with is I think you're hinting Hogg gives us momentum with crunching tackles and is a voice and a leader. We've folded easily that many times in the last few years it's clearly he isn't that kind of leader either. I said after Saturday if you combined the traits out of the entire squad you couldn't make a leader out of them and it still stands. You need 3 or 4 captains in your squad at any one time. We have none.

Losing 5 in 6 is unacceptable
Season after season of crap whilst being told by messrs Cartwright and Nagle that they have it all under control.
It’s time they were made understand that we are sick of them insulting our intelligence.
Pair of clowns.

If Duff goes then Cartwright has to go and then Kev has to somehow work out how to employ a decent DoF in a sport he hasn't got a clue about. How do we even begin going down that route midway through a season? As over 95 percent of us knew, that should have happened as soon as relegation was confirmed. Idiotic to keep him on, the outcome is extremely predictable. Naive in the extreme. Nagle employed a couple of low grade football men with CVs that wouldn't get them near a championship job under normal circumstances then persevered after last season's utter shit show. By the time he finally wakes up crowds will be 8k at best and we'll be bound by FFP. I think we'd better get used to L1 at best for quite some time. Still at least Kev will own the stadium.

I know, I know, you don’t go back etc and it was probably true in the Champ. But he would have not had his arse handed to him by the managers of Northampton and f’kin Blackpool. Plus the lift he would bring, from fans and players would definatley get us up out of this league. Whether it works in the Champ who knows. But we can’t stick around here. We need that lift, and that’s what he would bring!

We have none. It probably reads that way, yeah. But, it's the opposite of what I mean for Hogg. I can't stand when he's caught flat footed, and berates everyone around him. He's 2-3 yards off the pace these days, but he's one of very few who takes no shit from the opposition. Our current group and it's been the same since our prem days, curl up and shell up any team gets physical. It's probably the antithesis of modern day football, but, our players should be shown videos of the crazy gang Wimbledon team from back in the day. Hopefully inspire them to put a proper tackle in and not worry about breaking a nail.

Granted I’ve never liked 5 back or 3 back. But it’s so rigid or ‘undynamic’ (the right word is missing me right now). I said it on Saturday predictable and easy to play against. I bet you could put a random town fan in charge of Reading on Saturday and they could get at least a draw.
