Think he’s referring to the sky sports plus commentator who is absolutely insufferable. The Sky sports is a complete and utter ****. ....or he has a bomb tied to his leg and if he doesn't speak for 5 seconds it goes off. The latter option may be unlikely but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. This… I was shouting shut the foook up at him after 5 mins.. Like he’s swallowed a statistic book and was regurgitating it.. 😡😡 |

I thought it was a decent first half that. Wrexham fairly limited to balls in the box which the defence are comfortable with. Clearly lacking legs in the middle to try and get a hold of the game. As much as Kasumu offers in physicality he hasn't got the quality on the ball. Kane too slow. They've nullified Miller as well, I'd like to see us get him further up the field if we can. I'm surprised Wrexham didn't allow us more possession and sit further back. Clearly no pace on the left hand side of our defence. Decent first half?! Mate, you’re easily pleased! |

Michael Duff mentioned the atmosphere or lack of it in the last couple of games, if he watches that 45 minutes back, he’s got his answer as to why that is.

Ignore the hype and Wrecham are just an ordinary low league team.
The fact that they have amassed so many points tells you all you need to know about League 1.
Bojan off, Ward on and I think we’ll get something in the 2nd half.

Playing too long and just no ball’s sticking. Look a bit scared to try and play through them.
Defensively sound so far.

We’ve got no ways of changing it (not without oval pegs in round holes anyway). We don’t have a single winger. |

That was pathetic. I am embarassed watching that. Duff criticises the fans and complains about a weird atmosphere after the weekend game, and there is the reason. We only ever seem to be 1 game away from that kind of performance. This is like a replay of Northampton or Blackpool apart from we arent losing, and I know already it wont change in the second half, as when we have played a first half like that this season, the second half has been the same.
What was the plan there? They hack long balls forward, we head it straight back to them. We then play long balls forward and cant hold it so comes straight back. No urgency, no quality, no desire to go and win the game it seems. Longwijk has been awful, Wiles and Kane done nothing, and Radulovic and Marshall may as well not be on the pitch. 1 shot off target all game. Have we gone to Man City tonight? This is why I cant justify going to watch this team at the minute. Imagine travelling in numbers to Wrexham on a Tuesday night, and watching that. Literally zero entertainment, nothing to get anyone off their feet, no plan, nothing. Duff can have a go at the fans all he wants, but the proof of the pudding is in the eating. I will give it 10 mins but if the second half is like that, I will be switching off.

The one good thing so far, despite my worst fears early on, is the referee has been quite even handed. He’s not fallen for Mullin’s cheating. Cue penalty to Wrexham.
McClean and Barnett have caused us plenty problems out wide. We need to get a grip of them as one of these crosses will eventually fall to Palmer, Mullin or Lee arriving late.

Yeah they've had the majority of the ball and done sod all with. We havne't got anyone that can really run the channels up top to give us a break. Everyone seems to see a big bloke in Radulovic which must mean he can hold the ball up, similar to Ladapo, but it's NOT their game. We lack certain qualities in the team that help in games like this, so a team dominating and doing not a lot is decent enough. I'd possibly bring Ward on as he can provide slightly more physical presence up top and stretch things but we lack the quality and speed to match their current intensity. |

Amazing how many people are saying Wrexham are poor and this league is shit, without realising that we have made them look poor with our tactics and defending.
Yes it can go spectacularly wrong but that was a very solid first half performance.
