Sorry for expecting more. We are a recently relegated Championship club who have been poorly managed with no vision and a number of desperately poor signings, when the powers that be, whether it's Cartwright or Nagel talk as if they are on a different planet. I don't think it was arrogant or presumptive of me to expect promotion this season but we are not going to get it. A recently relegated very shit Championship club. So you expected and presumed we would get promotion this season did you? Why was that? What did you see last season that made you think we would get promoted this season. Or what did you see over the summer that made you expect we would get promoted? Or was your presumption and expectation of promotion based purely on the fact that we were a Championship club last season What is your point? My point is that we are being poorly led by the owner downwards and we won't change this until we change course dramatically. I think we could have been promoted immediately this season if the correct decisions were made in the summer. But our recruitment has been poor. So now I see that we are falling way short and I have no confidence in Cartwright or Nagel.

He talked about an immediate return to the championship so maybe you should ask him why he thinks that? Captain lip service talks a good game, but that's it.

There are some right drama queens on here. We're 8th in the league, just 1 point off the play-offs and actually only 7 points off an Automatic spot. We sit 3rd in the form table, with 11 points from the last 6 matches, only Exeter and Wycombe have more points in the last 6. We went behind twice and came back to get a point Anyone would think we are in the bottom half and just been smashed 5-0 We're a league 1 club with league 1 players. They are going to be inconsistent and sometimes shit...That's why they play for us in League 1. I bet if we looked back on your posting history you were saying similar throughout last season. Maybe rather than being drama queens they're just much better judges of the current situation and the performances than you are? Good for you if you're content with 8th in L1 and the piss poor, boring performances and the gutless defeats against part time players and teams in the league below. Some fans have much higher standards and should be free to moan and groan without being called drama queens. There were lots of posts like yours all throughout last season weren't there and it turned out that as usual the happy clappers know nowt and should keep schtum when more knowledgeable posters are having a good old moan!

No matter how much 'spin' you put on past results the performances overall have not been no where near good enough.....The two in the last eight days particularly so against teams of L2/NL standard.

Losing interest rapidly. Better things to do on Saturday afternoon Like what? I'm as pissed off as anyone with the shite football, boring negative formation, downward spiral, defeatist attitude the club has been in for years now. But football on Saturday afternoons are ingrained. If I'm not there I'm listening on the radio or watching a stream, following other clubs scores on line etc etc We stopped going, pains me to say I haven’t missed it one bit. Took the time today to watch our game, first time I’ve watched a full game for several months. First half was another forgettable 45 minutes, second half was a decent watch generally and we should have won. 2 poor teams overall though, we’ll be in League 1 for some time based on that performance and were we to somehow find our way back in the Championship with that team (or the bulk of it), we’d be cannon fodder. Was expecting more of Duff but he seems just like any other manager and is simply passing through. Posted earlier but we are now back to where we were under Ritchie or Ternent for me, floating along not really going anywhere.

The club needs to go straight back up, but that's looking like the lottery of the play offs is the best we can hope for. Crowds have held up well so far considering, another year or two and it would be Ritchie level.

Bah Humbug, two points dropped and simply not good enough against a side that had won 1 in their last 12 games. We don't have any leaders at all other than Hogg, surely the management know this but nothing seems to change.

I ring my father who is 93 after every Town game. He saw them when they were good and his father and uncles saw them in the '20s. He stopped going when his mobility became a problem, but he listens to Radio Leeds every game.
He told me tonight that he had got two tickets to go and watch Town: I was amazed. I asked him how he was going to get there and how on earth he was going to get up the steps with his sticks.
He said, "I'm going on the bus, because they'll be playing Wooldale Wanderers"!

A lot is going to have to change for the better to convince me to renew next season. I didn’t renew this season Ben. My daughter had had enough and so had I as I was just burnt out with it. I’ve been to one game and still couldn’t get enthused but I loved the beers and company before. I stopped enjoying watching Town but I still support them even if some folk don’t accept that. I feel the same about football as a whole. I rarely watch it on TV and hardly follow the results anymore. I’m much more interested in Rugby Union, cricket, probably even golf when for most of my life, it was just football. I'm annoyed they've shunted the rugby union atumn games onto some far flung nonentity of a broadcaster. They're determined to kill that off as well as test cricket.

I am too old now for a game of Polo or Hockey so apart from the Regatta, it's Town all the way!!. We are Horse Manure and we know we are. Tally Ho.

I pay hardly any notice of the big PL matches on 'super Sunday' or whatever they call it on Sky. But Saturdays...something about it, stems from childhood, Football Preview with Sam Leitch, the teleprinter, the classifieds, pools news, reports from round the grounds, who's on Match of the Day tonight....jumpers for goalposts

Can see it now. 3rd May and a hard fought 1-1 draw with Leyton Orient to seal 12th place. A rapturous applause by the simpletons as the players do their lap of honour.

If we were to hypothetically lose against Man United u21 on Tuesday, where would this week and a half rank in the most embarrassing weeks to be a town fan in history? Has to be right up there!

A recently relegated very shit Championship club. So you expected and presumed we would get promotion this season did you? Why was that? My point is you're starting to sound like Sheff Wednesday fans, with you're expected and presumed we'd be promoted. There was nothing in last season to suggest we should expect to get promoted. There was nothing in the summer that suggested we should expect to get promoted. We got relegated because we were/are a team full of average - good league 1 players. We signed average - good league 1 players over the summer. So you saying you expected us to get promoted just sounds deluded And we're 8th, 1 point of the play-off, with 32 games to play. We're currently 3rd in the league 1 form table. If we continue that form to the end of the season we are definitely in the play-off, do slightly better and we can get in the top 2. Can I ask what you think the dramatic change of course is that you think we need?

9 points behind Wycombe, and it's barely November 😂😂😂 And?? Wycombe are top of the league and have won 6 out of the last 6 games, scoring 16 goals and conceding just 3 Both clubs are league 1 teams. Not sure what your point is? Point? Point is, autos are gone. Playoffs? We'll se. Point is it's all rubbish. Formation, tactics, transfers, press conferences, attitude, whatever.

More fool you and others for swallowing everything our owner said. Every owner of a relegated clubs says the same. Very few deliver. Reading, Wigan, Charlton, Bolton, Barnsley, Peterborough, Rotherham, Blackpool. All their owners would have said pretty much the same as Nagle when they got relegated.

Way down the list. We've been far worse than this over the years. Forget the cup result, we're a goalscorer away from being a top six side.

But I'm realistic enough to know that this season wasn't going to be a walk in the park. We have had some shit performances this season and some of our players are shit. Some aren't even league 1 standard. But despite all that, we are still just 1 point off the play-offs and our current form over the last 5 or 6 league matches is amongst the best in the league. We're a shit team in a shit league, full of shit teams. We've got a lot of shit players, but then so does every other club in League 1. I hope we can push on and gain promotion this season and I'll be hugely disappointed if we don't. But 8th, just 1 point off the play-off, winning more matches than we've lost, scored more that we've conceded and in a current run of results which is amongst the best in the league is not piss poor. What are your higher standards? So what were your higher standards when we were in League 2? What were you're higher standards when we were in League 1 last time
