We just seem to have no luck or no ability in selecting strikers. I just worry that the January window is comming up and we have the same team making the selection as we have in the past. I’d say it’s more about making them do what they aren’t good at. It’s not just the strikers either, over the past few years they’ve had Hogg playing a playmaker, sorba a wingback, Nicholls a ball playing goalie, wiles on the wing, bojan a target man, rudoni defensive midfielder. The director of football system has created such a rigid system with no room for change. For example, if we wanted to play 433 tomorrow we couldn’t no defensive left back. Not a single left footed centre half. No right winger. All because they are obsessed with 3 at the back. Now what’s this got to do with ladapo. It’s because he’s being judged off of 10 minutes here and there. How is it possible that radulovic has played over 700 minutes this season, Marshall nearly 1000 and would you believe ladapos grand total is 292 minutes. Just over 3 games for a player who has scored over 100 career goals. Most of them in this league. Meanwhile the other two have scored 36 between them. I guess that would be something to ask Michael duff.He hasn’t been afraid to play players he didn’t initially fancy as a starter,Pearson,Kasumu…Bojan maybe to a lesser extent. I think with ladapo there was a period where duff was almost forced to played Marshall and Bojan as there was virtually no one else,if you’re not getting minutes at that point then he’s not seen what he wants from him clearly. Sounds utterly ridiculous but would it be worth our while lining him up a loan from January if we could get him one? On the others,I’d say try do the same with ward though he likely won’t want it.Healey id be surprised if he even manages the minutes he’s now at over the whole rest of the season.Marshall will be needed,he’s played a lot of football for someone who hasn’t yet done that.Hopefully he comes good again(or better than currently) and Bojan will also have to feature I’d guess unless we could somehow shift him.Koroma again if stays fit he’ll play a large part, hopefully he can find early season form again. We do need at least 1 in January.

I wouldn,t trust this lot {DOF etc.,} to do my online shopping at Morrisons They wouldn't have the planning skills for an online shop....they would wait until closing time and nip in for all the 'whoopsie!' and reduced items just going our of date.................

I mean ... FUCKING HELL!
I know he's short of games - and he did actually have his best minutes since joining - but should a pro footballer really be having multiple, successive shots like those he had last night.
My wife asked me what I'd been laughing out loud at when I came to bed.

2 years more of this lump, thanks to the genius's at our helm!
Nobody in League 1 would pay him the same as we can, best we can hope for is to ship him off on loan and sub his wages.
To think we had a Jordan Rhodes version 2.0 and he wasn't good enough for us, now we have Bojan, Ladapo and the cripple Healey!
Truley staggering recruitment performance yet again. All on long deals too! another couple of million down the drain

I had hope for Ladapo as he’d not got an injury record, he had a good record at this level and bought himself out of his contract
I don’t know what it is with him, his legs seem to be disconnected from his head. It’s all rushed. Panicked. These isn’t any ice cold composure with his experience.
Dunno if it’s rust or has his legs gone

Crazy to see some of his attempts on goal in a Town shirt compared to some of the screamers he has scored in the last couple of years.
Yes your legs can go so you lose a bit of pace but the ability to strike a ball doesn't suddenly desert you overnight.

I don't think any of our strikers are particularly good but every single one of them is currently playing with the lowest amount of confidence you can imagine. Look at Radulovic and Koroma both missing the ball in the first half last night. They should be tucking that away with their eyes closed but they all just keep snatching at chances. I'm not sure how Duff rectifies this though. Apart from crossing his fingers that our defenders and midfielders keep popping up with enough goals to keep us in touch until January and then sign one or two strikers who can actually do what we need them to.

Dunno if it’s rust or has his legs gone IMO the long and short of it is that he's getting very few minutes in a side with stacked competition in his position, and is snatching at scoring chances when they come his way as a result. I would usually say a run in the team would do him good, but look what it's done for Bojan. I would swap their places in the pecking order but ideally play neither of them! In the impossible situation of them all being fit at once, my current hierarchy of strikers is: Koroma, Healey, Marshall, Ward, Ladapo, Radulovic. Koroma and Marshall made an effective pairing at times earlier in the season. Ladapo at the moment is a better bench option than Bojan

The one where the commentator said he might have spotted the keeper off the line was just comedy gold. Diakhaby levels of shiteness.

He’s obviously crap but I do wonder how any striker would score in this team. On Saturday I think the 4 strikers who played had about 3 shots between them. What’s annoying is we do create chances but they mostly fall to the midfielders. I’ve noticed the strikers are always out of position and usually outnumbered in the box. The system in my eyes should rely on pace upfront, none of them are quick.

Koroma is the only other player who has more than 1 with just 1.1. Birmingham have 5 players above 1, Wycombe have 3 and Wrexham have 3. All comes down to mentality for me, we have yet to properly kill a team off. We have the most big chances missed in the league with 30.

I struggle to see anything other than an embarrassment right now.......but he's done it well at this level before. are we doing with him in training? Tbf says it all that Duff hadn't put him in the 18 before ward pulled out with yet another bloody illness. To be 6th in the list of our strikers is not a badge of honour!

Aside from the obvious lack of goals we don't have a striker who can win a header or hold the ball up.
If we're pressured at the back and have to go long it's coming straight back which adds to the lack of control in games.
Probably 2 needed in Jan.

Wonder if it could be as simple as duff being a defender as a player Or just Bolton being really shit with their keeper diving 2 business days early for the pen and kindly giving Antony Evans a tap in. We always try to kill the game off bar Rotherham and that day the right chances just fell to the right players at the right times

Joe Taylor came on as a sub last night for the last 30 mins. He runs about alot which seems to be our base criteria for signing players. But hardly did anything. Seems very similar to Callum Marshall. If he does come I'd say he's a permanent long term replacement for him? As for the others? What a mess!
