You would think those being interviewed for the role, would be asked who can they get / who do they have on their radar for the head coach role ? This could well swing the appointment !

There's a part of me that thinks the DoF and Head Coach will be announced either simultaneously or a few days apart.

This is the straw I'm clinging to if it's Des Buckingham getting the gig.

If there are two (or more?) DoF candidates that seem excellent, then interviewing their choice of Head Coach before appointing the DoF does make sense.

Of course, the track record so far doesn't inspire much faith in them going for a logical approach.

I’d also like the DoF to be involved in the interview process. They might have a #1 pick, but if they are doing their job properly, they should be keeping their options open throughout the interview process.

It does worry me that this position is still open and management appointments are being touted. It makes me think that the process is nowhere near complete and Des Buckingham is not the pick to be manager, more just a suggestion from wind up ITK’s.

Do we actually advertise these jobs, DoF and manager or is it all grapevine stuff. Also who at Town has the wherewithal to decide who gets either or both of these positions?
