Is anyone else hoping for a nice steady start to the season to get us on our way early doors?

I’d like a home game to start with against a Exeter/Wimbledon sort of team

I feel like we are going to get Bradford first game at Valley Parade

Just give us a decent day for Blackpool away

Orient at home opening day - be a good test to see how things have changed after getting hammered by them last game of last season.

A bit reminiscent of 15/16 season with Brentford. Fingers crossed for the same outcome.

I think that Peterborough (H), Luton and Cardiff (A) are international weekends just for those that book travel early.

Not that we have any internationals except Brodie currently I think

Worth bearing in mind that we have the following matches scheduled during international windows so are subject to being moved due to international call ups:

6th September: Peterborough H
11th October: Luton A
15th November: Cardiff A
28th March: Cardiff H

Shame Barnsley and Bradford are both when the Railway station in Huddersfield is closed, pretty sure it's shut starting on the 30th of August up to the end of September.

Something wrong with Exeter at home. Jan 4th is a sunday! Showing as sunday on EFL list. Still love the professionalism of whoever is in charge of web content!

Some tough looking early fixtures there. Lee Grant will have his work cut out for sure. After last season’s collapse teams will not fear us as they did in the early games last year. The team rebuilding is coming along positively with still some important additions to be made but that opening fixture will test us if Orient are anywhere near as good as last season’s performance at Leeds Road. All 3 opening games are against teams who beat us and apart from the away win at Orient we could not get much out of the other matches. 9 points will be the target while realistically 6 or 7 will be excellent.
