So, what have we learnt? 1 - It's fine to use a "dodgy" firestick, despite the links to crime. 2 - I assume it is also fine to avoid paying tax, by "paying cash" or by not disclosing true income honestly. 3 - From my personal evidence of driving from Skipton, through Bradford, and round Hudds, it is also fine to chuck rubbish out of a car window (someone else will pick it up, after all) to break basic laws within the Highway Code (they don't appear to apply to some people). On a similar vein some people are against fare dodgers on the London Underground, so if "they" do it its wrong, if "we" do it, all is OK. You reap what you sow guys, you reap what you sow. Comparing the morality of littering with using a "dodgy" IPTV is borderline insanity.

The international pass for the year is £140. I get some games in BEIN sports, but miss most. So I took up the international pass as it’s my way of supporting Huddersfield Town, I obviously don’t get to games, I don’t buy merchandise as I’m unlikely to wear it unless I went to a game, so it’s my way of putting money into a club and community that brings me joy (except the last 2 seasons which have been putrid). I’m in the same boat as you. Really impressed with the season pass and happy to pay money to the club when they offer the service. The commitment to the kick off times was the big one for me. The new app which has been upgraded by Kev and his team was the clincher for me. It made the interface so much more user friendly and the product itself is miles ahead of where it was before Kev. Commitment to ko times… it takes massive commitment down here, do you stay awake for the 2am ko’s or wait to watch the next day?

Don't get these. Just get an international season pass for 140 and use a VPN. High quality, Iocal commentary, no viruses, no funding crime. Does the international pass include all games, home and away, league and cups? If you live in the UK, is there a way to buy one so that you can use it to watch games when you're abroad? I'm already missing 7 games in the period to mid October by being away, so having access to reliable streams would be great. If someone wants to message me, rather than posting the answer - that's fine!

Or get IPTV for about £60 and get high quality, local commentary and no viruses on all Town games home and away. And get all other major sports, on numerous channels, PPV events, US tv channels, films, series etc etc Each to their own I guess. Enjoy doing your thing. I’m not an IT whizz but when you say IPTV don’t mean a dodgy box or something else?….. Options I see are : Dodgy box (as in a real box like Firestick) VPN and official pass Dodgy Internet stream Is IPTV a fourth?::::

Interesting piece in Mail: www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-14995729/Sky-Sports-dodgy-Fire-Sticks-end-3pm-blackout-piracy-BILLIONS.htmlMost match games we see some links to sites streaming games but one level up from that are higher quality streams on the so called 'dodgy boxes' where you can pay an annual amount and watch most / all games in all leagues (and other stuff like movies and TV) I think the price of the sub seems to be in the range of £60-80 a year, most of which will be going into organised crime (illegal that is... ) If you had the ability to stream JUST TOWN games what would you pay a year for that? Personally I would happily pay up to £100 as I cannot get to many home games, maybe even more.....what thinks DATM on that topic? PS - I am not a policeman..... thats what they all say!

Got IPTV, a bent spotify account, a Disney+ account from ebay, use family's Netflix and Prime accounts. Don't pay TV licence despite watching quite a lot of BBC. No problem with the BBC, I'm just tight and don't like paying. Whenever I buy birthday cards in the supermarket I only scan one of them. Also always on the cadge for spare Town tickets I love Yorkshire

If they’re not Saturday 3pm games you can switch to UK server. Some other non-league games you get the BBC WYS audio feed.

Firesticks are ace, love it. I also trouser garlic bulbs from Asda every time I go there, they have no barcodes 👍

I have been looking for an IPTV provider for a week or so and have a short list of those who claim to be UK Legal, because, as I understand it, IPTV is, in principle, legal. Prime examples quoted as Legal IPTV are Netflix, YouTube, Hulu etc. amongst others.
Breach of copyright is the issue, but some providers do obtain a licence and permission from the owner, so no breach.
Trading standards say
Illicit streaming is the distribution and watching of content without the copyright owner’s permission. This could be using a smart TV, laptop or mobile phone, as well as devices such as ‘Kodi’ boxes, Amazon Fire Sticks or Android boxes which are intended solely for the purposes of streaming. This is known as Internet Protocol Television (IPTV). These devices are legal when used to watch legitimate, free to air content or for paid subscription channels such as Netflix; however, they become illegal once adapted to stream illicit content.
It's a very grey area as the stream may originate from abroad so UK Law enforcement can't do anything re the actual stream.

Likely 99% being used for illegal stuff then!! But back to VPN, if I had a mate living abroad and a VPN, surely I could just login with their account to international pass and away you go?? Does anyone know if it’s like Netflix where you get several logins at a time? Or is it just one login at a time?…

If I had one it would have
Every single PPV, football game, international channel and any movie ever made including stuff in the cinema for £100 a year with 4K capabilities, real time football (same time as Sky have it).
But that’s if I had one of course

Most pubs and clubs showing football in thr villages all use firesticks. Some places get grassed up and have to stop using them whilst others get away with it.
Sky Sports / TNT charge based off the total floor space of a pub/club so it's more financially viable for smaller places. I know a place where they tried providing both and it cost them about £2k per month, people just went to the places using firesticks it doesn't work.

Created it when I was on holiday inn Florida and used the hotel address. Think it was only one login at a time though. Stand to be corrected on that though.

Anyone selling it for £60, give or take a tenner, with a good reputation or feedback should be fine. Many are getting it from the same person up the pyramid anyway. Or better still get a mate who has it to recommend you to their supplier. It sounds clandestine but it isn't really...and it's simple once set up....and all for less than a month's Sky subscription but with far more channels and options.

One thing a friend told me was that last season quite a few times their IPTV would stop working for a couple of hours while a big game was on and then suddenly kick back in shortly after full time. I'm not sure if this is something which the ISPs are doing or what but it is just something to be mindful of. I believe he is with Virgin.
I don't think turning on his VPN worked either

If a channel does freeze or glitch, especially for a big game there will be a multitude of other channels showing it....American, Canadian, Australasian, South African, Asian etc etc....and all in high quality too. I'm sure some ISP's will come under pressure to restrict things but it'll be a losing battle I'd imagine.

I know the fans hate a lunchtime ko, but they are so much better for my sleep patterns down here!

Simply put, if football was still the "working class" game and TV money, crooks and ego trip rich individuals not stolen the game no one would need dodgy fire sticks etc. I dont care how much the football industry claim that the game has improved, its no more exciting than it was in the 60s and 70s when real people loved their local team and stuck with them no matter how good or bad their season was, it was still your team. We cannot put the genie back in the bottle and those days are gone but given how much is being ripped off from genuine fans money wise I have no problem with not always legal ways of viewing games. As an aside to all this IMO most of the fan YouTube channels are far far better informed and honest that the shite opinions and commentary of Sky etc who appear not to even know who or what the feck they are talking about. I saw one article on the BBC which suggested that it was a shock win for the SOUTH YORKSHIRE side Huddersfield in the cup, how much are these half wits paid not even to get the area correct !

I’ve had a “dodgy” fire stick for 3 years and for the most part, it’s worked a treat. I don’t have any qualms about having one, I’d previously being paying Sky upwards of £100 per month since 2001 to that point. They’ve had plenty out of me, I still have my broadband with them but I’m no longer paying £30 a month for sport, another £25(ish) for movies I hardly ever watch, £100 a year to Disney and I never subscribed to Apple TV. The only one I continue with is Netflix for my daughter who’s at uni and watches via her laptop.

I would gladly pay the annual video fee if it ever became possible here in Ireland. Still struggle to understand why Ireland is within the rights area with regards to the 3pm blackout.

You, my friend can lie, cheat, steal, embezzel to your hearts content, as life has not been fair to you. Thanks for your kind words Rupert
