You made it soooo easy for Dennis to do his team talk. Bremner's statue was due a good clean anyway, so it's looking really fancy now. 4-0 will always be there in the record books though, hopefully we'll make it double figures on aggregate when we descend upon your place in March, for our championship party. Hope you'll be there to clap us on the pitch

It really has been a humiliating weekend for you lot hasn't it?
Hammered on the pitch in the one that really mattered to you, you were the quietest and least passionate set of fans to visit ER this season(350 Port Vale fans made more noise and I'm not just saying that), and you have the shame of vandalising a memorial on the anniversary of someone's death.
All you have left is making some feeble jokes about blue paint.
You don't need me to tell you how sad you appear.

I take your point, but Southend made more noise when they had 600 in that corner. Not really having a go as I think it had a lot to do with the early kick off, poor atmosphere all round really.

pdmanx a fantastic profile/cartoon.
H0L4 I dont know here you sat but from my position row T seats 57 and 58 a large section of the town fans around us did not sit down and instead sang for about 75/80 of those 90 minutes.
I did not agree with the attack on the statue that was stupid and disrespectful. However, as someone who has had to endure endless chants on previous visits to ER with United and those chants of 'whose that dying on the runway' etc I find no sympathy.
On the whole though we did not see any trouble and the kids and I felt safe around the ground (in-side and out) so that is a plus that personnally I must mention about you being right about H0L4. Funny enough I saw some Leeds lads at half time in the Family? stand who I had not seen for years and we had some playfull but funny banter and the two large policemen stood next to me seemed very relaxed about our banter across the blue netting.
My daughter did get a txt from her Leeds friends at the game saying there had been a fight somewhere else in the ground but we saw nothing.

yeah it's a bit respectable of town fans to do what they did to the bremner statue, if it even was town fans at all. but for you l**ds to take moral high-ground on us town fans is laughable.
how many times in the past have you disgraced the footballing world? plenty!
besides you cannot hold every town fan responsible for the attack just like i don't hold every l**ds fan responsible for whenever they disgrace english football

Rachy. They nearly pulled a wall on top of themselves at Leeds Road, back in the 80's.

There's a long history of bad blood between the 2 clubs. I can handle all the wind-ups that we don't matter to you but the last 2 games we've played at ER records for crowd size have been recorded shows a different story.
Back in the 80's Leeds games both home and away have been the most violent I have ever witnessed.
Speaking about it last night with my mates, all Liverpool fans find it hard to believe as they have only ever found Leeds as a very hospitable away fixture.

What have Leeds fans ever done to your club/fans/stadium/statue? nothing to which i've been familiar with. although to be honest there hasn't been much of a chance since we haven't played a league between each other for 20 years. but to say that there is plenty of other crimes that l**ds how done to the rest of the footballing world. i'm not trying to condone what they did. what they did was cowardly and disrespectful. but i get the impression that certain l**ds are blaming us for a crime we MIGHT have committed. besides our track record with anti-social behavior beats that of l**ds uniteds'

alright mate. if your talking about the 'respectable' bit that was a honest mistake.
no offense meant by it.
besides isn't it the saying 'innocent until proven guilty'
no-one knows who committed the attack. if we are guilty, my apologies on behalf of the club, but don't cast the blame until you KNOW it was our fault.

There's no might about it, your chavvy wannabe hooligans have been bragging.
Like Leeds' fans are the only supporters that have misbehaved?! I'll tell you what we've never done though, vandalise another clubs statue/memorial...

My first ever Leeds game was against Liverpool at ER in 1979 I think, and I was in the away end with my Liverpool supporting uncle, and I had to spend most of the game crouched down to avoid all the snooker balls, batteries and darts etc that were coming over from the Leeds fans, so I know what it used to be like being an 'away' fan at Elland road. Having said that, I know what they mean, in more recent times there has been a healthy respect between Leeds and Liverpool and we mix in the pubs quite happily(sadly no more of course).

I'm at the back of the kop geese and to be fair I can never hear away fans(or ours in the south stand for that matter) it just didn't 'look' as if you were making much noise, if you know what I mean.
