Dooky, the culprits will have cared about the result. But more so about the moral victory.

I thought it was distasteful and immature. Imagine the disgust of any family members/friends of BB. Who cares whether he was a dirty player or what team he played for. The guy has passed away and people should respect that. As for the argument of 'getting back at Leeds idiots who have caused them Harm in the past'.... how? and do you think that their club is represented by the idiot element? I like a good laugh as much as anyone but I just cant see the humour in this. All it achieved was to fire up the Leeds team but Iv no doubt that the culprits couldn't give a toss about the result of the game anyway. I see your point about friends and family of BB....so maybe your right to an extent, theres lots of morals that can be brought into question in football, however, footballs an entertainment business the fact of it is its a statue......a piece of iron in leeds, its more symbolic to leeds fans that it will be to his family i imagine. I think I saw humour more in the leeds fans reactions. As for firing up the team.....what a load of bollocks, half those players will not have given a shit, they aint leeds fans, if he was an idol of theirs maybe so.....but I doubt he was and I doubt they are leeds fans.....Wise was just been Dennis Wise when he made that comment. It was effectively a dig at us town fans saying "you caused your team to lose".....when in trueness if he did bring it up in his teamtalk......the players would not have been motivated by some paint on BB.
