I went to the game yesterday and i was bored stupid. it was freezing and the town team didn`t do anything to keep the fans warm, the atmosphere was crap and the team lucky to win. The town central defence is totally useless and mirfin and clarke can`t play well together. They are both too slow and come the jan transfer window ritchie must get 1-2 experienced central deefenders in. I personally can only see him signing jevons with wallwork going back now worthy is fit. If he goes out and gets another bloody winger i`ll scream because we all know where the team is weak. ;D

I dont think we where lucky to win yesterday! bit i agree about Mirfin and Clarke. For me, Ritchie can get rid of Clarke tomorrow, i hate to think what Birminghams speed merchants could do to us.

As had been said previously, Clarke or Mirf seem OK when the other is not playing. Very odd!! It is all very well to say get rid, but we would need effective replacement(s). Ref both above posts, we ideally need to keep both Jev & Wallwork & get new defenders but that ain't gonna happen. Prove me wrong KD Having see Brum on MOTD last night (OK I know it is only highlights), we is gonna get stuffed.

A fairly easy choice for me. Keep Mirfin. I have always rated him, agree that playing alongside Clarke just doesn't work. Offload NC in January (if we can, a fee would be a bonus) get an experienced centre-half (or have FS playing there perhaps) that would work I reckon.

Keep them both - Mirfin to right back, I don't care that's he's 6 foot 2, he can't head a ball! At least at full back heading's not a big part of the game!
Nathan Clarke stays in the middle
Experienced centre back in, although the last two experienced defenders (McIntosh, Sinalir) haven't really lived up to my expectation to be honest.
If we can't get a good experienced centre back in why not give the Clarkes a run together and see whether they can form a partnership!
