this made me laugh anyway.... "GOAL POST:Not only is the stadium equipped with the traditional football and rugby posts, but it is designed to stage American Football matches should the game ever become established in the U.K." Huddersfield Giants branching in to a new "franchise?!" giantsrl.dnsupdate.co.uk/pages/stadiumFacts.asp?Index=637What a pointless addition to the ground that was.

Interesting read about the ground with those facts. As an adopted Town follower, I did not know that the turnstiles where from the old ground. As they say 'you learn summat new every day'.

As well as Rugby League, the stadium is also built to allow Rugby Union games Tis true

"the pitch is a natural grass field" - It's an absolute disgrace! I have never seen it in a worse state and the deterioration is really noticeable from game to game. The style of football and our results will inevitably suffer as a result of the lack of care of the playing surface.

Erm............Shhhhh!!!! Actually i was trying to find out whether the cheerleading squad they are having this year totally professional as ive heard it somewhere. More money down the pan that could have helped the town. Honestly ! Not like im a season ticket holder or anything.... Oh, i should have put a warning on that its a link to the Giants site, some people may not be very happy with accidently going on to their site!

I believe it is fairly reliable! I said the other week! A player was leaving didn't i? I do and don't hope it's true. If it's a young un (and I know the name you mentioned last week) good luck to him. He's been a good servant for Town and if he has the chance to play at a higher level good luck to the lad

This bit brought a wry smile to my weary fizzog:-
ELECTRONIC SCOREBOARD: The Scoreboard is a state of the art multi-coloured display using an electronic matrix of 40 lamps high by 96 lamps wide. The American style scoreboard, supplied by Daktronics based in South Dakota, is capable of full animation and graphics as well as scores and messages and costs in the region of £70,000 Similar scoreboards are used by virtually every big venue ground in America.
