Is the Dark Lord (Mr Davy) going to invest into the playing staff come the transfer window. It would be interesting to know just how much we have in our fighting fund? These past seasons all the transfer deals in and out of the club have a D notice applied (no public announcement) to them. We cannot see the amount coming in and going out. Crafty bugger. If we have some money it is going to be very interesting to see where it is going to be spent, there are so many holes and not enough plugs to stop the leaks. So what area should we be looking to strengthen?

I dont know enough about the guys you have mentioned. I have seen them the odd time as subs, if our season is not going to be one of promotion then maybe they should get a longer run out in the senior team or as you have said get them out on loan for some experience. It can show if they are going to be any good for our club if not then they need to be told they can then find an alternative club.

I may stand corrected on this but Racchi is defiantly knocking on the first team door IMO on what I have seen on him in the reserves.
The others are decent but need loan spells now to develop them further not reserve team football

No disrespect meant but it is a massive leap from the stiffs to the senior team. I have only seen him as a sub and at times I did wonder if he took too much pride in keeping his hair do in place?

I agree with what you say about a big leap in standard. I'm basing it on what I have seen in the reserves this season and the back end of last and also when he made a very confident cameo as a sub in the Town team last season. I will respect other peoples opinions as they may have a better judgment than me.

I may be very wrong here but I understand that Jevons and Wallword were both signed on loan with a view that unless they were injured, they woud be signed on a permanent contract in January.

I had a feeling that was the case with Jevo and I do remember Wally saying he was looking for a perm deal when he first moved here on loan, but one or two DATM posters have put a seed of doubt in my mind over that one in regards to his high? wages

I've heard Brandon's on his way, apparently he refused to play in the reserves yesterday as well. That'll probably clear up a wage to allow AR to sign Jevons.

Bit late today getting logged on.
I did wonder what had happened to Brando. I liked him, although a little erratic. He brought the only bit of pace to an otherwise slow paced team.
He did run into corners but a lot of the time I thought that was caused by the others not backing up.

I think what stands Racchi out is that he's the only academy graduate in the last ten years to have any pace (although not exactly express pace!) He's getting to an age where he needs regular first team football, either Town or on loan. In his favour AR liked him enough to award him a contract and getting named on the bench last Saturday would suggest to me he's ahead of Young now in the pecking order. I think he stands a decent chance of doing something at Town, although his best chance is to go after the right back slot IMO. Sinclair is getting on and Hardy's the only other competition for the role whereas we have loads of midfielders

I hear that Andy Holdsworth might be leaving with Stoke rumoured to be the club interested in signing him.

I think the best investment for town would be an assistant for AR.

Racchi should be playing now at right back imo whilst sinclair is suspended, with holdsworth staying in central midfield where he has been our most consistent player imo.
