Clark has had money, brought in his backroom staff, signed new players, tried a variety of team formations and tactics, has had support from Dean Hoyle and has had time
Im unsure what he will do in 2011 to change or improve things .... bring in more players? change the tactics? Hes looking like hes gonna get sacked any time soon and if you look like you're gonna get sacked you usually do
At Southampton we were second best by a long way, our good players were average and our average players were poor Southampton could have scored many more
Clark has signed players who are not good enough i doubt he can be trusted to bring in more it will need an immediate and sustained change of fortunes to save him
good teams dont lose this often

Sad but true. It's been said many times already but his biggest mistake was pissing about big time with a team that just needed tweaking. His signings this season have been shocking -
Naysmith - not Clark's fault that he got injured but he has a recent history of it and had only played something like 5 games in 2 years for Sheff Utd.
McCombe - extremely dodgy at times and no improvement on what we had already
Gudjohnson - shocking
Croft - what was the point?
Garner - Clark made a big point when he first came of speaking out that we didn't have a natural goalscorer at the club. If Garner is a natural goalscorer then i'm a porn star. Oh and he loaned out one of our 2 natural goalscorers that he already had to Millwall.
Alan Lee - see Garner above but at least Garner contributes (not enough mind) in other areas.
Benik Afobe - what is the point in signing someone who could make a big difference but isn't allowed to play for even half a game??
Arfield - we don't really know do we coz he hasn't played him in his proper position more than a handful of times.
Carey and Johnson - good signings.
Overall a disastrous set of signings when half of them weren't even needed. Sorry Lee but i think you've messed up big time this season.

Good post Ben. He had lost faith with the transfer policy that had got us regularly winning (signing young promising talent with pace/athleticism) and signed an expensive bunch of crocks and wasters. This club never learns does it? Happened with Stan now with Clark.

Garner has played well in some games but awful in others and it doesnt help Clark keeps chopping and chaning the front two and Croft was cover for our wingers but from the sounds of it didnt give 100% Alan Lee has been unlucky. Only shite signing has been Joey G and let's face it on paper he is a great signing that hasn't lived up to his potential.

I started this thread after the debacle at Rochdale where we made Dale look a decent side, I continued it after the garbage we played at Oldham. Now I find myself ready for all the abuse I will get from the Lee Clark fan club, if you love him so much go to the next club with him, because he surely cannot continue. Our season started with so much promise and now we find ourselves in the doldrums of a shit division and we have spent a fortune and nothing to show for it. It really is time for a change otherwise we could be in serious trouble, He clearly cannot motivate the players he has brought in and that is crucial! A new voice and a new outlook is surely needed, I have seen some bad managers at our club and sadly he is amongst them now, tactically bettered by Wadsworth? ? It defies logic, Sorry Lee but Bye, bye! Tell me now honestly that he is the man for our club! Lee go now!
