The run ins look quite balanced.
Got to get off to a good start against Brentford, traditionally a difficult game for us. Unpredictable, but usually grinding and they are mid table, this is a tough one.
Peterborough is obviously shaping up to be a massive game, but one I think we will win, with a good atmos at the ground.
Charlton game difficult. This is the one game I could see us losing and very difficult to make a case for winning. Point.
Positive side is that I can see they are all winnable, but I think it will be a blanket finish like last year and if we are where Leeds were on the last day, win and we are up, then I would take that now for sure.
Brighton might as well print the tickets and programmes for the Championship now, they are gone.

Who remembers the playoff match at the old stadium when we all thought we were through to the final, only for Posh to beat us, and scenes after the game. Town fans on the pitch, good natured to start with, last match usual pitch invasion etc only for the police to go in heavy handed with the horses and things got ugly. The mood lightened though when that police dog chased the Town fan all round the pitch and then grabbed his arse, the East Terrace were pissing themselves at this bloke trying to get a German Shepherd off his backside : :

We were all fired up for a night out in town on the back of a good win. Very, very flat night that one.

I have only ever been to two footy matches with my old man. One was Roma V Inter in 1990 when there was a huge riot after Lothar Matthaus scored a 90th minute pen to win it 1-0 for Inter. Robo cops had to help my old man get myself & my younger bro out of the "dodgy" area where we had bought our tickets for from off a tout. All hell broke loose around us. To be honest it made the Posh fiasco look like a picnic. There were bombs going off and those massive glass dividing walls were pushed over! The other was the Peterborough play off match two years later!!
No wonder the old boy still has such a dim view of football & football supporters. He still thinks that is the craic every week.

Interesting to note that having played the same number of home and away games, we've scored more goals away from home than we have at home.
We have still gained 7 more points at home than we have away however.

All of the top 6 teams have difficult games imo Brighton look nailed on - but 1 game at a time is the best way - let's not bottle it like last year - UTT.

The only game we bottled was Millwall away, other than that we had a very good finish to the season WDWWLWWWWL A run like that would see us promoted this season :udders:

Looking at the run-ins and remaining fixtures nobody has picked up on the fact that Southampton also have a re-arranged game away to Plymouth, so technically, could acrue a further 3 points on everyone else with games in hand.
