I'm convinced that he'll go, and I think that we should bite off Norwich's hand. No guarantee that he will be the player he was - but it's a risk for both teams.
Cash in now and buy two - or three - players with the cash we get.
IMHO

Lets be honest where a selling club, every club is apart from maybe Madrid and Man City we will have a figure that we seem as acceptable if they offer that Pilks will be gone and you cant blame him. Its gunna happen, its a great move for him and if we get near to 2 million it will the second higest fee for us after we got 2.7 for Boothy, yeah... 2.7 million all those years ago....unbelievable tbh. I would hope that Clark would be allowed to use some of this fee to strngthen even more and the 3m for Stewart

IMHO totally agree but its a bigger risk for a buying club with him,im with you get a big offer and cash in,good as he is he may not be as good as he was.

Club staying tight lipped on the story so says Radio Leeds, well in the past they have been ultra quick to kill any potential paper talk, so could well be true.

Yeah let's get him sold we could then bring Kilbane back and sign some more overpaid dross like Lee or Gudjonnssen.

I don't want him to go, but moving the heart to one side, if we're offered a figure starting with £2m+, I'd request a sell on fee and take it. Like it or not, if a premiership team comes in for any of our players, they'll be off (the exception being a young keeper who knows he's going to maybe be loaned out).

Any deal we make with Norwich for Pilks would have to involve Mcdonald heading our way me thinks

Any deal we make with Norwich for Pilks would have to involve Mcdonald heading our way me thinks Good shout, that. Cody got 25 goals in 41 League games for Gillingham, last season. I think we should try to get him as part of the Pilks deal, if they decide it's the best for our club to sell him. I'm not sure he is quite tall enough for what I'd like alongside Rhodes, but he's 5'10", so not short, and a great scorer, at lower levels anyway. Plus he seems to be a positionally clever player. I do feel sorry for Novak, though, as he is a trier, maybe the hardest grafter we have, maybe apart from P. Clarke of course. So try to get Cody as party of the deal. And also try to improve Novak in training and give him more appearances next season.

Clark is quoted in the examiner as saying that there has been no contact from Norwich and that the figure of £1.75m being mentioned is massively under the true valuation.

Thanks for that, I've just looked at Examiner's site, and can't see an article from Clark on that. Where is it or is it just in today's physical paper but not online yet ?

sounds like Clark wants much more than the 1.75....
If Norwich want him so badly I cant see him staying, ?? above 2.5 million and we will take it ??

Hang on all the papers have said there has been a bid!? Now Clark has come out and denied it do who's to say he will be off or Norwich are interested?
Probably bulls**t paper talk just because Leeds said no to them buying Snodgrass!!

www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11719_6998656,00.html Same thing on the skysports website, basically quoting the Examiner. Just because Clark has said there hasn't been any contact though it doesn't necessarily mean there hasn't. He could be saying that along with "their offer doesn't match our valuation" in order to bump up the price and invite higher offers, or he could just be saying it to try and keep the player settled and not get his hopes up if he might jump at the chance of a move.
