Is there a banner being made for this protest? There is but no one is taking it in due to the boycott.

9 adults 2 kids not going - minimum loss for Sheff U = £260+ - not that much to a business when you think about it. The winners are MK Dons because 4 of us are going there instead next Saturday, a few beers before the match in MK, watch the game in a better stadium, then staying over at the Hilton Northampton after the match - it might cost more in the long run but we won't be in grim Sheffield on a Tuesday night paying double the admission fee that the Bury fans paid last week.

Just been on the sheff u website and the pricing for home fans is £26 and £13 for juniors. That is against £28.5 and £22 for juniors for us. Seriously thinking of going to the game now , and seeing what things look like from another part of the ground. Any takers?

At £28.50 an adult it seems a lot of people are choosing not to go to this game. Someone suggested a stickied thread adding up the total money they will be missing out on. Here it is: Ill sticky it and send it to the clubs and the local press on twitter.. This used to happen at the likes of Birmingham. I used to turn up without my Town shirt on and get into the family enclosure for a tenner, then have a very interesting time when the goals started going in!!!!!!

I'm afraid I've given in!!! Just got my tickets after the game! few reasons...
1. Was one of the games I looked forward to as soon as I left OT... don't want to cut my nose off. 2. "The girls" can't go so halves the cost. 3. Think the lads will need the support. 4. my lads going anyway.
Do feel a bit guilty and fully admire you guys who are genuinely not going because of the prices, but can't help wondering how many are using this as an excuse and would nevr have gone anyway!
There are clearly a lot of genuine boycotters though.. power to the people!
UTT!

Why didn't we all just get tickets in the home end? There would have been room.

I see my name has been completely taken in vain. I'm expecting royalties ;D. I like it though, I was just explaining what the boycott is about, I'm not going because I'm a poor student and can't afford, just makes it easier not to go on principle when you have no money

I'm definitely going due to the fact its ones of the only away games I can realistically go to in 2011. The next will be Wednesday away in December.

Although I wouldn't criticise anyone who makes the effort and spends their hard earned following Town but I genuinely think there is a real point to be made here. Whichever way you look at it £28.50 is too much (by about 20%) for a League 1 game.
I nearly relented but sometimes people need to make a stand.

This is the most ridiculous and offensive thread for any TOWN supporter to 'support'. How many beers, tee-shirts, clappy things, players, facilities at canalside, etc. has Dean Hoyle bought to support TOWN; :respect: and yet we have a stickied negative thread trying to persuade supporters to boycott the first and closest (mileage) 6 pointer of the season over a few quid. : : You should be ashamed of yourselves after DH's programme notes on Sat. :ranting: Some people spent hundreds of pounds on new bikes, accommodation etc. and cycled to Brighton last year(+year before) to support the ACADEMY & YAA, get real and support TOWN or don't pretend to be a 'supporter'. :nono: The admin that stickied this thread should resign! :nono: If you have no dosh, that's another thing but no :nopity: Please. This is about football, and HTAFC. :udders:

Ridiculous that we've got Town fans having a go at Town fans. Some people aren't going. That's their choice. It doesn't make them any less of a fan, a supporter, or whatever. People have their limits, this goes above alot of peoples limits. To basically say the people boycotting the game should stop pretending to be a Town supporter is utter bollocks. Are the Leicester fans that boycotted Barnsley just pretending to be Leicester supporters too? I doubt it. People have made their choice, nobody is forcing people to go, and it's absolutely stupid tht some of those who are going are basically having a go at those who are boycotting it and trying to claim that those people aren't proper Town fans. Whether people like it or not, some people are boycotting. In so many words, deal with it. Accept it. Don't go slagging off those who aren't going though and trying to make out that they're not proper Town fans.

Dean Hoyle said at the meeting on Thursday that he won't be changing anything regarding Sheff Utd at home. Nothing to do with their supporters and it's not the way he likes to do things.

Judging by Deano's comments on Thursday night he is far from happy about the pricing and can understand why people are taking a stand. Does that mean he isn't a 'supporter'?
