If he does say that to the ref then why on earth hasnt he been sent off?! If you said that in local league football it would be a long ban and a fine for foul and abusive language! Dont get me wrong, i know its a passionate game and swearing at yourself/an opponent/with frustration is always going to happen, but to swear AT the ref like that should be an automatic red imo! Couldn't agree more. Players get chastised for hounding the ref if they don't get a decision, and it's horrible to see, but if they don't clamp down on this sort of thing you can see why the players push their luck. Whenever I've played Sunday League football, foul language is one thing that you always get pulled up on. I remember one ref we had going to each team before the game and saying "Right lads, I'm an old school ref so I like to see an old school game. Physical but fair is fine, but if any of you try cheating or gobbing off at me I'll send you off". He got everyone's respect for that. Some of these Premiership ref's could learn a lot from him. :respect:

If it is true and shows he has made racist comments then he should be stripped of england captaincy and never play for our country again, cockney muppet eitherway for me

He is a moron but I highly doubt it was a racist remark.

looked like "eefing knob head to me"
which is probably very common but most certainly isnt racist..
getting a bit more of all this racist accusations, seems an easy thing to slur against someone who is giving you a hard time

what a terrible excuse, you would just said, "Oi Anton, I never said that", no way would you repeat the whole comment back to him! take the england captaincy off him, not only for the comment, but because he was due to open a pet store (odd) and can't even turn up for that!

Whilst I can't criticise his commitment as a footballer I wouldn't say he's the most cultured player that's ever played in that position for England...
As for his personal traits, well he's pretty much a scumbag, but will no doubt amass an even greater personal fortune from the game because the media/press love the bad guys...
