Colchester away for Swindon. Almost glad we got knocked out now, got to be one of the dullest teams / places to watch football in the world.

So it means we have a boring Saturday coming up on the 3rd and i cant see the fact that we have nearly two weeks between games will benefit us in any way at all.

Think I might head over to the Shay to watch their game against Altrincham instead. Hate being indoors all day on a blank Saturday.

Not possible. The only thing we could do is bring forward a game scheduled for the Tuesday after the 2nd round, to the 2nd round weekend, but as we don't have a game that Tuesday, it's not possible.

Arn't the only night games we have this season against the Blades and the Poolies. Maybe they could bring the Poolies game forward, seeing were both out of the cup.

Nope, we can't. We can't just ring up Hartlepool and say "hey, we're both out of the cup, how about we bring the league game forward by 3 months" with less than 3 weeks notice. Yes it'd solve the issue of a blank Saturday for us, but it's not allowed.

If you look at the draw, All our promotion rivals have games they should win which means they could all progress further.
More games and a cup run can certainly be a distraction, especially if they end up with plumb draws in the 3rd and beyond.
Colchester away is hardly mouthwatering and not much reward for Swindon
