Are Huddersfield under pressure to win L1 title? With their record breaking season surly it has to be sealed with Town winning the title or else no one will really remember this season as Huddersfelds record breaking season.
Just a thought.

Nah, no pressure. People will remember the record breaking run every time they look at a football records book. (other sports records books are available)

Over 200 posts on another teams forum :appl: : : I would think there will be more pressure on the MASSIVE Sheffield Wednesday to win the league.

Serious question, read an artical about it and got me thinking it may put you under more pressure to 'cap it off'
Just a thought though.

Nothing if not persistant but your banter is chronic; not even a wind up, just dull. Any chance of least trying to come across as a bit doolally like Bilo rather than a dullard with too much time on your hands?

I would say that beating the FL record has actually taken a little pressure off us. Did anyone see how big LC's smile was when he said that of course he wanted the record even though he had played it down for weeks.
To beat Arsenal's 49 would be great but as posted previous, we are now a Football League record breaker.
In regards to pressure I would say that we are under the same as Sheff Wed as both want promotion. One or both will crack between now and April. There's a season defining moment for both clubs somewere between now and the season end.
In my opinion I don't think Town are playing anywhere near top form and the type of football to rip teams apart we know were capable of. If we can hit a higher level we will go up, simple as that. Yes I know we have this magnificent record but strongly feel the talent we have is not firing on full cylinders YET!!
We made a decent Notts County team look average so hopefully that's the form climb starting. Chaz and I are going to the Charlton game and we are going there in "can win" mentality.

The Wendies clearly feel the pressure. Look what happened last season as soon as the going got tough. They faded like their steel industry.
I guess that's a drawback of being a 'Massive club'. The fans are not realistic, and the players and management always feel the pressure.

Much more pressure on the mighty wendies than us or Charlton,
I know several of them and they think they will walk one of the top 2 spots, I didnt really know how deluded they are but is seems true !!!

Operationpig - no pressure in November/December. The real pressure will be in April/May 2012, especially if your team is in 3rd,4th,5th or 6th position - UTT.

Have you seriously not got anything better to do with your time? I'm not being funny but you are aware that your last few threads have been a bit embarassing for you mate? I'd genuinely find a new pass-time as you are getting a little predictable...... : :

Why does everyone get so defensive?
Answer is yes, Town are and rightly so under pressure. Considering the backing the manager has had, that would be fair to say but I'd rather have that pressure and be at the top than lurking around mid table without it
No different however to Wednesday who are rightly classed as a big fish in this pond. The club have also invested and Smegson is under no illusions that the pressure is on him to succeed. I suspect, if he fails, the board may not be quite as supportive as Deano

Spot on Chicken George, Oh and just so I am clear, HuddersfieldTown have never been in Administration, are currently operating within the income they generate week in week out and arnt paying at least 4 players on their books in the region of £750,000 a year.In the third tier of the english league? God help us all the sooner rich chairman stop using football clubs as play things we can get back to paying a fair price for our football out of whats left of our wages.

Its not so much defensive as fed up of having to listen to it mate.
If its not this then its the Rhodes thread the other day, amongst others. Threads asking questions which are clearly answered in previous threads on this site and, without sounding defensive, appear to be in an effort to 'rock the boat'.
I might start going on the Wendies site and asking predictable and rhetorical questions for shits and giggles....... :suicide:

The pressure will seal our promotion, our lads will do whatever they have to to not get dicked by some lucky tinpot outfit in the play offs again. They'll run through walls to go up! So yes the pressure is on!

Though my point was simple Terrerng, seems too advanced for you so I will spell it out. Both our clubs lived well beyond thier means, ran up debts they coudnt pay,You went into admin, we all but did. You have a new chairman and havent learnt a thing, Paying way over the odds for third class footballers. Now Mr Hoyle may well have very deep pockets and get you to the so called promised land.Where tickets cost silly money, but it cant possibly last .Just ask any Blackburn fan who thought Uncle Jack would take care of them forever. Milan may or may not bank roll us up the league, but me I want clubs to only spend what they bring through the turnstiilles and half of that should be spent on kids football.Maybe then the prawn sandwiches and carllos kickaballs would piss off and we stands would be full of real fans again, who cant sleeps nights waiting for saturday
