Excellent addition to the back room coaching staff. I've seen him in action several times when at Man City and he knows his stuff.
A nice bit of positive for a change.

That's a great appointment.
Proven at what he does with over 20 years experience and it's not a case of jobs for the boys either.

Great addition to the coaching team, proven at least unlike Watson.

Youth development at Manchester City - could there be a more pointless job???

Youth development at Manchester City - could there be a more pointless job??? Have a look through Premier League squads and see how many started at City.

Dale fan here in Peace. About our former manager Mr. Eyre.........
Don't believe everything you read about his glowing CV. Our Chairman fell hook, line and sinker for everything in it, appointed him as manager, and we all found to our cost that all was not as it seemed. He didn't simply 'depart Spotland' as your report suggests - he was sacked.
Utterly incompetent, but talks the talk like no-one else on earth.
It seems that Mr. Eyre was NEVER youth team manager at Manchester City, despite the claims. Just don't let him near your first team. He'll probably have Jordan Rhodes at right back !! Clueless is how he will be remembered at Spotland. He might be a decent coach, but he'll never be a manager whilst he uses his arse to sit.

His record at city was outstanding and having reffereed a fewacademy games at city when he was in charge i know first hand about what he brings to the table. Coaching and being a Manager are different all together. It didnt work out for him at Dale as a manager but elieve me this is a very good appointment by town. Make no mistake

As above harry, he's here as coach! Lots of good coaches don't make good managers
Some chap called Wadsworth springs to mind...doesn't mean he wasn't a decent coach!

Forget Becchio, loanees Balotelli & Tevez up front next season Sounds a good appointment and further demontrates strong foundations the board are trying to lay.

Read this on BBC last night (good old ceefax!) and was surprised, agreed there is a huge difference between managing and coaching (Brian Kidd springs to mind!). Lets see how he goes and give him our best wishes!
