Who said detrimental to footballer's ability? Maybe I need to add a few more winks to posts next time for those who need the extra hint jest (jst) n. 1. A playful or amusing act; a prank. See Synonyms at joke. 2. A frolicsome or frivolous mood: spoken in jest. 3. An object of ridicule; a laughingstock. 4. A witty remark. v. jest·ed, jest·ing, jests v.intr. 1. To act or speak playfully. 2. To make witty remarks. 3. To utter scoffs; gibe. v.tr. To make fun of; ridicule. Now we can add Condescending to your list of many talents. Condescending means - Acting in a way that betrays a feeling of patronizing superiority. : :

Why would we want Beckford? We have lost our top scorer and need a replacement sharpish?

I can't believe Rhodes has actually gone. We could've made the play offs. His career might go the way of Stead's now. Play offs? Really? Not on your nelly, with or without Rhodes this year.

To Saintly Terrier. I think this could be a good week for you to quit sniffing glue. The guy in question has a better goals to games record in the league that Rhodes was proven in than Rhodes has. He would be a great replacement, him and Vaughan would scare the shit out of defences.

A striker who regularly stores goals at any level is like gold dust. Look at the Cardiff game. Every man and his dog could see that if Rhodes had played then we'd have won and now be sitting pretty on 7 points having played 2 teams who are up with the favourites for the league. He's not proven in the championship yet but he's played 2 games and scored 2 goals along with 1 for Scotland. Take lambert out of Southampton and I doubt they would have gone up last season. Prolific goals scorers win you games and go along way to winning promotion. We've just sold ours.

And we didnt just sell him, we took the buying club to the cleaners. He isnt 6m+ better than Cox who also has two goals in two starts for Forest. I am/was a massive JR fan and never hid it but this wailing and nashing that we are doomed for relegation is unreal. JR was and will be a class footballer, but he wanted to do it for another club who would pay him mega dosh - who can blame him? Recrimnations about his sale help no one and the feeling of injustice some seem to feel is laughable, its an unreal move and short as the time is, at least we have some time to try and get a replacement in and if not the loan windown is ony days away. As we recruit more young talented footballers this will happen again!

We've got to hope that Grayson knows what he's doing in the transfer windows now and he can bring in 1 but possibly 2 new players who are going to replace the Rhodes goals. That's easier to say than to make happen. If he gets this wrong we could be looking down and not up come March time and looking over our shoulder with a quick return to league 1. Then again get them right we could make the playoffs : : : :

Beckford?!! Erm no thanks.
Absolute twat...if you think Town fans are still a bit unsure of SG being in charge; surely this is worse?!!

I'd rather have Jeffery Schlupp to be honest. Although I'm not sure how much of a chance we have of acquiring him.

Do you really think Leeds fans would be bothered if they signed an ex-Town player? Some of our fans make our club look small by calling our own manager and players 'yids' etc. it's embarrassing!

We've lost all sense of reality if we are dismissing the idea that Beckford wouldn't be a useful signing for us. I'd be delighted to have that ind of pedigree in our forward line and with Vaughan and Scannel tearing forward we would have a pacey side that scares defences. There may be nothing in the Beckford rumour but that is teh kind of player we need, DJ Campbell similar imo.
