"five minutes later, Rodgers saw his second spot-kick saved by Lee Evans "
I suppose judging by his stage act he could do a useful wobbly-legged Grobbelaar impression

One suspects they're all in hiding. Oh the embarrassment.
Actually, while I'm remember - is Chris Slater still playing for Chasetown? We had him on trial pre-season 2006, and at the time he was being chased by about 6 clubs. But didn't sign for any of them. I seem to recall the Chasetown manager labelling him as Premiership quality.

I'm amazed by the gentle nature of this. AWAG has lost its teeth!
GT - we've allegedly signed Slater already, although twice having Callum Willock in his pocket doesn't necessarily mean he'll make a league player - Willock would struggle to make our department's 5-a-side team.

At least you lost away to a non-league team.

Our defeat is far worse than yours, bris. Cheesetown are absolutely miles away from being in the conference. Not as far as many of our players though.

Sorry Mik, just checked and didn't realise that they are that far down the pyramid. That's a bit like losing to a pub team. I feel better about our defeat now.

I think its hilarious, after all the stick we've taken from the Vale over our own comedy cup exits, its nice that they can feel how wonderful it is ;D

I drove past Chase at around the time the game must have finished, the A5 was dead funny with cars beeping their horns in celebration and I couldn't stop chuckling at you lot.

Arf - unfortunate that Luke's not as accurate from 12 yards with a football as he is from 20 with a banger. FFS.

Have Port Vale played the annual Wild Card of sacking their manager and enjoying a quick upturn in reults that each team gets each season yet?
You're the only team that is in the bottom four that would be a positive addition to the Daley Divsion

We've got a new manager who's not making a great deal of headway with the dross he's been left with, so I'm reserving judgement. We may avoid going down due to the number of teams being docked points for going into admin. We've been there and done that.

One day I hope that our decades of frugal accounting will lead to us being promoted because every other team has been docked points for being flash harry's with their money. It's about the only way we'll ever go up*
*apart from this year of course, chugging fampions we're going to be.

It's about the only way we'll ever go up Oi. That's our plan. Only exchange "go" for "stay" We're about the only Championship club in the history of the world to make a profit. This buying no players and building no stands malarkey is a great idea

That profit is from the last financuial year, which would class you on what you made in League One. Your first balance from the Chamionship will be nexst year.

No, this hasn't come from accounts from the financial year.
There's been a load of fans met with our chairman in recent weeks and in that time he's revealed we're sitting on a nice big wad of cash from promotion and it's bye products that we're not spending.

Indeedy, this year is one in a long list of continuous frugality as set out by Owen Oyston way back years ago.

Owen Oyston's not frugal - it's Karl that's the fugging problem!

Yes, 2 penalties missed by Rodgers, but he was the only Vale player not to be abused on the night. Very strange set of supporters.
