I played football against Scott Murray last night. I'm playing in a 8-a-side Summer league at Clifton College playing fields in Leigh Woods. For some reason he's playing in it as well.
We lost 4-0, all goals scored by him. He killed us, although one of our defenders raised his game and had a blinder otherwise he would have got about 8.

I imagine he would be quite good at that level as he's still playing league football! Your team must be pretty decent to have kept the score that low.
He's a really nice guy, isn't he? He'll be missed at City, though I think he's continuing to work part-time with the academy and will hopefully return when he's finished playing.

I have vague recollections of you lot getting all upset about something in an ldv vans game years ago, something to do with ex-gas marcus browning standing in front of a free kick and then crying when he got booked for it. Was it anything to do with that?

Seemed nice enough, certainly far too good for us.
It's scary the level he was at, but having said that our player, who is hit and miss on a Sunday, did keep him reasonably quiet for long spells. However, if he did beat him he pretty much always scored.
I remember watching him destroy Notts about 5 seasons ago. He was scarily good.
He's got a personalised number plate though. Tosser.

I remember why he is an arse, and so does a certain referee. If he done the same while playing for us we'd probably love him, though.

Our old goalkeeper Steve Phillips had the numberplate S70PPA - now there's a real tosser.

Murray's was something like that, but not as good. S45 SGM.

Eh? What's personalised about that? It's just a number plate, surely.

One of my mates has bought a number plate for his wife and said we should google it to prove its provenance. I did and this thread was the result that google gave me.
That's right, a used car salesman from chesterfield has bought his wife the number plate s70ppa.
