After suffering our 15th relegation last year, we have now been knocked out of the FA trophy by Chasetown, a place/team I didn't even know existed until a few weeks ago.

Been there-Histon-and I'm sure others have suffered relatively or otherwise.Take heart from the West Coast Cods-Fleetwood-suffered administration then bounced back to almost Football League status from nowhere Sometimes it just has to be but as Wizz is oft quoted as saying, 'football is cyclic'

Actually checked up on Grimsthorpes# league position and they're doing ok-within sight of the playoffs. Chasetown have a good Cup record so all isnt that too gloomy in the Mariners' world
#Every town over there is called '......thorpe'.

Based on my occasion listening to Radio Humbersard, The Cod are doing alright. Their too big for the FA Vase anyway. A bit like the FA Cup is to the Champions of Europe I think plumbs.
You coming over for our cup final?

Yeah definitely-unless we drive straight onto the ferry and end up at some mahusive European ground like what we're used to 'ullers playing well at the mo and we've conceded shedloads in derby games so should be interesting.

The playoff chasing pack in the conference reads like a who's who of former Dale oppos who have gone to pot
7. Wrexham 8. Masfield 9. Grimsby 10. York 11. Darlington
Must have seen my lot play each and every one of them at least a dozen times, Darlington are the team we have played more than any other.
12. Plate. Not northern, but similar.
I'm not liking the top too much
2. Crawley 3. Luton
The pair of those two can go do things to themselves as far as I'm concerned.

Dont forget an honorary mention to Fleetwood Town-basilrobbies home team.By rights-should they secure promotion-he should ditch the Seasiders and follow them,as indeed I will. They're real Cod Heads though not like these imposters from Cleethorpes

Proper Wimbledon, Fleetwood, Newport, any of them can come up as far as I am concerned.
Not those two though.

By my calculation there are 14 ex-league clubs in the BSP. Any of them back in the league would be welcome.

Ooh, so much hatred. Luton are a league team through and through. Let them take their medicine and come back. Don't reckon it will be this year anyway, probably at least next year.

Remember, I'm only called Ralph because they thought it would be better suited to life in this country. They wanted to call me Rafe. On a number of occasions when I was a mere little un I got into fights because people called me Ralph which must have been a tad bewilderingas that is my name. I just really didn't like it. In fact I didn't use it till I arrived in London at the age of 23 and told everyone my name was Ralph. So it took my old mates for ever to call me it but at least there weren't any more fights over by then.
I'm going to bed.

When we were at our lowest point, The Cod offered to let us use their Fortress BP. Until we are in the same league again, I wish them well.
Luton are shit obv.

It depends on if you are referring to Luton as a club or as a team. If the latter it is OK to use the plural. There's a good explanation of the grammar of this in Stephen Pinker's "The Language Instinct" but I can't quite remember the analysis.

When I saw your result last night the thought 'lowest point' came to mind. Hope it is.
