Is it just me that doesn't really want him? Why not Mike? Been really impressed of what ive seen of him here.. His stock is likely to be very high at the moment with the chickens' Cup run. I doubt whether he'd come cheap, & if we're going to sign somebody (however promising) that's never succeeded above Lg2 level then I'd hope we didn't pay much. I don't doubt that he's ready for another crack at Lg1, maybe he'd even do a job at this level but if we're going to have to pay a lot, I'd rather we went for somebody whose stock will only rise &/or somebody proven at this level. If we could get him cheaply & try to develop him then he's probably worth a gamble, but if we're going to spend a lot on him, I'd rather somebody we could feel confident in relying on. |

What if Wells turns out to be another Church? Big reputation and all that. Risky transfer for me

Watch him on TV this week, he's got something about him. Would definitely improve our team.

Get him bought. Would add a different dimension and aspect to our play and is different form all the forwards we currently have.

He may well turn out ok but his record in league2 is not great - I certainly wouldn't want to pay much for him 29 goals in 57 app - this is his first full season and he's notched 17 goals already. Far from relative anyway, he won't be going anywhere 'till at least the summer. |
