Is this one of the 3 'quality players' we are after, if it is, next season will be one long grind.

Ben Alnwick has as many Chamoionship goal assists this season as Sean Scannell according to the Football League stats!

Can't be that bad if Spurs coughed up nearly a million for him. Let Robins have a look at him... it's definitely a position Robins wants more from. Won't be one of the three quality signings either, arterrier.

smithies had Bennett pushing or not pushing him for a place earlier this season and his performances were good..
we even had a decent run of competent all round defensive displays and days on which we scored 5 goals..
Other than a few cameos from Holmes the replacements/subs haven't exactly staked a claim. The whole level of performance has dropped across the squad and its been Robins clutching at straws with changes rather than being forced into them because of form/lack of form from anyone in particular.
players sitting on the bench or on the fringe must get properly pissed off watching the team struggle badly time after time without being given a proper chance, ergo these players haven't set the world on fire coming in or coming on as a sub. Its a question of can Robins enthuse players continually sitting on a bench when he does not seem able to enthuse players he continually gives chance after chance to without much in the way of pay back?

God help you with him. Poor for us, left last september and already left two more clubs since. Few games for someone of his age too. Bit of a journeyman who doesn't stay in the same place for long. Flicker thought so little of him as back up keeper that when Steele was injured he brought in old man (and his best mate who he went on holiday with their families last summer) Mike Pollit who'd hardly played for years.
He's not a first team keeper in a million years at championship level. I don't have him as a back up keeper to pressure your number one either. Better off whacking an academy kid on the bench.

The lad training with us means fuck all. We'll be in for a keeper, so the examiner are probably putting 2 and 2 together and trying to try get their first ever transfer exclusive. We might sign him, or we might just be helping him out like we did with lee camp - having a look, but opting not to sign in the end.
One thing for sure i dont think we'll be after an exciting number 1 signing..just an adequate keeper. Despite our fans not, robins, and every other recent town manager, rate smithies.

Journeyman goalkeeper, lots of clubs and not too many appearances. I doubt Alnwick will be what we want, even as a backup.

Seems to be carrying a lot of baggage. Think we might do better looking elsewhere.
