Genuinely excited by this if true the perfect player to mentor Holmes imo No, he would be direct competition for Holmes, and a probable obstacle to him, not a mentor. Any player can benefit from more experienced colleagues, but Holmes is reaching the stage in his own career where he has to make himself a regular starter with Town, otherwise I fear his career (at least at Town) will dwindle away.

We will have to agree to disagree on this one Epsom

I'm not disputing that Majewski (if it is him) has got talent, but he's hardly going to bring physical presence to the midfield, is he? Assuming Gobern is out of the picture and Billing isn't yet a starter, Norwood or Clayton would be about the tallest player we've got in midfield. Majewski has blown hot and cold at Forest, so is he really what Town need atm? He wouldn't be there for physical presence- how many attacking midfielders are? We've lacked a CAM for ages. The closest we have right now is Holmes who, despite having obvious talent, might not be ready to start every game yet. He could really thrive with a proper mentor in that role. We do arguably need more physical presence in midfield but that's another issue. We desperately lack a link between midfield and strikers, and Majewski would hopefully provide that link.

town need two attacking central midfielders, two ball players and two workers. all of which the manager would be quite happy to start if required or if they fit what he wants to do in that particular match.
majewski/holmes norwood/clayton hogg/peltier?
from the above you are looking at clayton/hogg/majewski as starters..
maybe Peltier as the squad stands now is in line to be 3rd centre back in a 3-5-2?
if so we are missing a working midfielder..

Right, own up. Who's the Wikipedia troll?? Not me. Just woke up. remember him now ? Majewski did not score in the 2012–2013 season until, much like the previous season, he scored a hat-trick against Huddersfield Town F.C. a game which Forest won 6–1

An attacking midfielder who scored 1 goal in 29 appearances last season - he'll fit right into the 'Huddersfield Attacking Midfielder' role.

it's not all about goals as a midfielder though is it?
He will get attacks going and makes vital passes

He is the 'type' of player that our system lacks and sounds like the type of player that flourishes in our type/style of play, so could be very astute. Having Holmes behind him in pecking order learning and pushing him is also ideal.
Hope this happens.

Point being that not every attacking midfielder is measured by goals. It is one facet of many. But well done on the sarcasm - always a way to win an argument and not look like a cock.

22 Pages about him on the Forest Thread - www.forestforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=34318&page=22Reading between the lines hes a touch player that when on song and playing in his best role has the ability to unlock defences with ease. Hes a class act when on his game. International Class and only 27. Negatives - Not particular a goal scorer, a ball winner, can go missing when things are not going his way (Makel ?) Forest fans are split id say bout 80/20 in favour to keep him. If true could be a great signing - whose going Clayton ? , Norwood ? , Neither

Think his point was if you just looked at the stats all the time it would not give you full and accurate picture of the players season
A la Scholes

Should I use Lampards stats to show your wrong? I won't resort to insults. Your making yourself look daft enough. Cheers.

With any signing there is a risk it doesn't work out but I have a bit more confidence in this than many of the signings we make. Hoping it is true too, either perm or a season long loan.

Gonna be brilliant/infuriating listening to all the old farts trying to pronounce his name " Go on Ma-Jew-Skee, or whatever your name is"
Why can't we just stick to signing British playaz?

What I did was make the point that to slag off a possible new signing becuase he hasn't got a great scoring record is to, arguably, dismiss all of his other qualities.
