What does he add to the team when he doesn't score? Give him a big man to play off - ie John Stead & give him some service & he'll score, he was blameless today - UTT, Reckon Wardy would do better with Steady up front with him.

We can't expect him to score if there's no upfront with him and ward can't give him any flick ons, he's there to finish the goals, poor wells! He did get flick ons from Wardy yesterday but could do nowt with them.

more than Ward adds to the team at any rate. I feel for him having to work up front feeding off Ward, I truly do Ward did more for the golden boy than the golden boy did for Ward. 'Golden boy' is a fair assessment of Wells. It always seems to be the midfielders' fault that he is isolated or not involved yet the same leniency isn't afforded to Ward, Paterson etc.

What does he add to the team when he doesn't score? He has been badly managed by being played as a loan striker and the constant injury hit Vaughan hasnt helped.

I'm a bit worried that he seems to feign an injury when he drops a clanger or fails to win a ball he should be winning. Like most others though, I think it is unfair to judge him until he has had a run playing next to a "proper striker"

I see Hanson scored a cracking header to win it, oh for a good striker who can head crosses.
