I'm not enjoying watching town now though
Much more entertaining when Clarky was here IMO.

I'd take him back in a flash. And over and above some of the names linked with the post.
Give me the passion, and even the stubbornness, arrogance he sometimes showed over the wet lettuce approach.
After the last two managers, the place needs someone with passion, even maybe controversial - not a bland, boring, Mr nice guy
And as per my other post - get Steve Black with him. No soft tissue injuries - if he could get Cadamarteri fit he can get James Vaughan fit. Hoyle now wants the place to be positive - you won't meet anyone more positive than Black.
For the record - lets look forward though.

Would anyone take him back? Not while Mr Hoyle is the chairman as it seemed his dismissal was for disloyalty and who the hell in the club wants a manager who is not Huddersfield Town through and through ??

Should we have sacked him in the first place? Let's discuss that.

Yes we should have sacked him. We got promoted. It really is that simple. Maybe, just maybe we would have gone up if Clark had have stayed, but we definitely got promoted when he left and established ourselves in the championship. Clark had the backing to do that and he didn't manage it. The last TWO managers have met their targets. Clark didn't. It' really is that simple. He inherited a very good squad at Birmingham, lost no players to begin with and took them backwards. He got less points last season than Mick Wadsworth got at Town, but were lucky enough to stay up.

I'd sooner have Mick Wadsworth back than Lee Clark !!!! Mick Wadsworth almost made me question myself for being a Town fan. I've wished things on him that are illegal to post.

No thanks. Hardly gone on to prove any of his doubters wrong at Birmingham, has he?

It would be interesting to see what he could have done with us in the Championship had we gone up in the 10/11 season. Wouldn't have him back now though.

You've got to remember that the people who think he's this fantastic young manager think any time Birmingham win a game, it's like they've just won the FA cup. Out of all the names mentioned with the Town job, I'd put him ahead of Steven Pressley and that is it, and their are some crap names branded about. We played nice attacking football under Clark to begin with. That is the only positive I can give him, apart from a few good/decent signings out of about 50.

he started off a right cheery chappie. in the end the guy was borderline insane with dilusions of grandeur. When he started off he set us up to play the best football i've ever seen town play. By the end he was scared to lose.
Could he still do a job? Yep.
Should he? Nope.... at least not yet.

I had some great times under Clarky regardless of his faults. The long run of consecutive away wins when we ended up at Old Trafford was phenomenal. As much as I liked him though I think he needs to prove more before I'd want him back.
I got talking to a brummy st holder last season who said a few things about Clark that made me laugh....
1. He loves Lee Novak. Novak got injured & Clark said he didn't know how they'd cope without him. 2. Some of his team selections are baffling, almost like he uses a lottery machine(!!!!!). 3. He's always leathered (1 reason I wouldn't want him back).
Unrelated to managerial ability but apparently he rents McLeish's house from him so maybe isn't planning to stay long (& why would he in a shit hole like brum!).

This is like when you finish with your ex and you miss her a little bit, a while has passed and you've forgotten all the bad bits.
Never send that text message.

Would I have him back at town? Not a chance. I feel the best thing for Clarke is to take some time away from the game, and come back in League one or two. I don't think he is proven enough yet for the Championship. Very nearly took brum down last season and I wouldn't be surprised if they struggle again

I would have him back tommorow, we played the best football I have ever seen in 20yrs under him. But hoyle wouldn't have him back if he was the only one in for the job, shame.

We played some great stuff t least half the time, players like Gary Roberts. Helped. Never dull under him. Let's hope we all can be excited when we unveil the next manager or we could have split fans over a Lennon rangers Celtic scenario

You remember those days when Lee Clark had absolutely feck all idea how to play against 10 men. Well it seems he is still non the wiser (pinched from another site) RIGHT WE ARE 1-0 AGAINST TEN MEN, THINK I'LL TAKE MY TWO STRIKERS OFF, LETS SEE WHAT HAPPENS
