doesnt mean he's the right manager for the job tho. Just interesting the two different processes. 1. Know who you want and go get him....appears to be very decisive. 2. Very long interviewing process....doesn't. Just quite impressed that 2 days from their manager walking they already have another. Despite what he gave as the reasons, I wonder if Garcia walked from Tel Aviv having already been tapped-up ....

Why are powell's odds so short? My understanding is that Powell and two other candidates were invited for 2nd interviews, also that although unlikely now, Mark Lillis is also in the frame to take over until the end of the season. Seems strange the bookies have given it to Powell, when the board still havent decided. He has been short odds for 2 weeks now. OR HAVE THEY ALREADY DECIDED 2 WEEKS AGO.... suicide If there really are other candidates in the mix I guess it may just mean they haven't leaked whereas Powell has for whatever reason, could also mean he's been nailed on for 2 weeks but they are going through the motions as happens in many appointments in and out of football.

It just depends what's about. It was a much simpler appointment, dean wanted one thing from the manager, promotion from L1..and grayson was available and an obvious choice. Watford will want playoffs and garcia did it last year. A lot more to consider for us as we need to avoid relegation, slowly build a team that could get promotion on a small budget, blood youth, play football that will get folk in etc

Can you imagine how outraged the press will be when she got sacked 18 months down the line!? Paul Ince would no doubt be available for comment...

Looks like they don't have a clue, the more this saga draws on the more I think Lillis will get it. Why? We've interviewed 3 people over the last couple of days. It will be one of them, surely..?

The difference is the Watford board has known there has been problems with the players and the manager they have just sacked for the past few weeks so will have probably had Garcia in mind. Plus they had to act quick as Leeds were after Garcia

I hope he accepts because the 2nd choice is shite #ccfc In my opinion of course, and we all have them. Logging off now Chris has been offered the job, if he doesnt accept then Elvis gets it! I hope Chris accepts. The board wanted an answer today!

Seriously, the fact that they have to mention the colour of his skin speaks volumes IMO. Would Lennon be the only Ginger in the Championship now Burnley are in the Prem. Don't know if thats true so don't anyone bother trying to correct me. The point is, it should be irrelevant. It should be irrelevant, but the fact that there isn't a single black manager at any of the 92 football league clubs means it isn't. Despite the large number of black players. The comparison of Lennon being ginger is spurious. So it does speak volumes that they have to mention the colour of his skin, but not in the way you meant. And anyway, non of this is his doing and I'm sure he wishes it wasn't an issue. Lennon status as a NI Catholic is more controversial with some sections of town support than race.

Must be close to an announcement, The longer they have working with the team before the first game the better.
