Any idea what it was? Do the club still announce this?
I see the tickets sold was just over 11K. Given that we have close to 10K season ticket holders & nearly 700 Wigan fans that's very few pay on the day.
The Kilner seemed very empty but us so I'd guess at only 8000 or so.

Not sure, but I suspect not many of the floating fans who took advantage of the £10 offer on Sat returned last night. Results are the most important thing, but people also want a degree of entertainment as well. There is zero entertainment watching Town at the moment so I suspect only the regulars will be turning up until the football/results improve.

The game was watched by a ticket issued 11,083 Wigan 657
What does ticket issue mean ? Does that mean pay on gate as well ?

Does that mean pay on gate as well ? yes it does...it means it includes all SC holders even though many might not have turned up last night, but it includes cash payers on the night too...so it's not 'attendance' ... 10,400 town fans last night...probably the lowest since hartlepool at home back in February 2009....

Wouldn't it be nice if we could be told how many people actually went through the turnstiles? For me any attendance that does not reflect that is a meaningless figure. Attendance is how many people attend, not how many people have tickets and may/may not have turned up.
Then again, I suppose I'm a sinple soul...

Not a fan of these make believe attendances. We should say what the actual attendance is on the night not including the season ticket holders who haven't turned up. You just have to look at the Celtic attendances to show how stupid this is. The grounds half full yet they give it out as a near sellout week in week out.

I was there.
I have a season ticket (card!)
I would be kicking myself if I'd paid £26.00 to watch last night's match.
Away support apart, I wonder what our biggest pay on the gate figure is for a game included in the season ticket offer (i.e. excluding cup games, which are all "paid" entrance anyway)? Makes you wonder if it's worth it for so few people?

So do they include season ticket holders even if you didn't go to the game? I couldn't go due to work commitments!

£26 To get in, second home game in three days and no wins in 11. Make no wonder the crowd was so poor.

We announce a gate as this is now the norm within football, like it or not, so at least we're comparing eggs with eggs re other teams gates. Secondly, if a match is a sellout ie 24500 at the JSS, but 10k of these decide to watch say Fartown in the Challenge Cup, should we announce 14,500 despite the fact the other 10k are sold and we cannot re-sell them to increase the attendance?

The attendance is 14,500. I think you' ll find the club would be happy to announce the actual attendance, IF all clubs would do the same but ALL announce the gate/tickets sold. Furthermore, it would put us at a disadvantage in the commercial world to publish a figure which for the above mentioned reason made us look comparatively poorly supported. Can't really work out why it's such a big deal to so many?

Its a shame that the football club does not attract more Asians...16% in Kirklees and almost 25% of under 18s. They simply dont watch football and its a big loss to the club.
