Bunn does the same trick every time, beats a couple of men then tries to beat a 3rd and loses it. Quite irritating He has beaten 2 or 3 and got a pass away a few times, the only player who is doing well.

going to be a very long season I am afraid, doesn't CP talk to Lillis who seemed to get them motivated?

This has been a half decent away performance with 2 catastrophic bits of defending. Leeds look no better than us. We can get back into this

Absolute sucker punch before half time. Smithies in no man's land. Can't blame Smithies for that no matter how hard some might try. He wasn't close enough to the ball or far enough back. The goal isn't all down to him mind, the centre mid got caught the wrong side and then the centre backs between them made a horlicks of tracking the runner and the man with the ball.

We're gonna get a pasting here! We haven't even come close to scoring apart from a shot from bunn that only happened cz a lucky deflection put it on front of him So it's lucky when it happens for us but their first goal happened exactly the same way but it's coz Leeds are awesome and gonna give us a pasting, great logic. They have had 2 chances on the counter and scored them both. We have had the ball for most of that half, passed it well and could have sneaked a goal. Poor decision making by lynch has cost us agin. Plus with wells I fear for us as he just doesn't help us as a team especially on his own up top.

Why have we 3 defenders on the bench?
Don't get me started on Scannell starting, he's had a few good 20 mins here and there recently yes after 70 + poor games (about time), but if he's the answer what is the question?
Where is Lolley?!
If Hammill has 10 knocks, I'd still have the Championship 6th or 7th top assists maker (something like that) last season playing.
Where is the striker we have needed since May?
Wells was poor Tuesday yes, but I'd have been p1ssed off as well if I'd been asked to play out wide and he looked mightily pee'd off. He's not a wide player. End of. Round pegs in round holes I thought?! That lasted long didn't it!!

Everyone agreed that we were stronger than previous seasons following the end of this transfer window.. so can someone explain to me why the hell we're doing worse?

Having the ball for most of the game is totally irrelevant if you have little threat going forward (or if you do have a threat going forward but are a team like ours who have a pathetically bad shots/shots on target/goal ratio).

Wouldn't be entirely averse for Ward to come on and play left wing with Bunn up top to be honest, Wells has been shocking - seems to be on a completely different wavelength to everyone else.

Between the goals we dominated possession. We've been playing some good football, although we don't look particularly threatening and Lynch in particular looks jittery at the back. Very poor goals to concede.
One of Coady or Hogg needs to stay goal side all the time, no way should they both be getting caught wrong side as for their second. Butterfield should have taken their man out for the yellow there as well.

Thus is a very similar performance to Reading but we harried them into mistakes at the back. With proper defending this would be goalless.

I agree with this, bunn has been good, Wells just isn't getting a look in. No options for replacing Wells really, Stead not good enough and the other two are crocked. Have we got any youth strikers on the bench?

Sneaked a goal - we shouldn't have to be sneaking goals!! - everyone can see we need better options up front as Nahki is useless as a loan striker - need some quality up front as what we have isn't upto it. Hopefully CP will see this now and get into the loan market, why this wasn't sorted pre season god knows

It's only natural that as we aren't a very high scoring team and haven't been for a while we now snatch at chances through fear of never getting another chance.

Its such negative tactical football, we have set out in the last 3 games to draw 0-0 and never once looked like we might win the game. Time wasting at home against one of the worst Wigan sides we have seen who were there for the taking sums it all up. I didnt expect anything different today and I am not surprised to see the score. Unless we change the style and tactics quickly we will be down very early this season

Sorry to whinge but I have to agree about Wells - he's not up to championship standard. And the managers 'don't let them score at all costs' whether home or away will just end up driving fans away. Tuesday nights 'football' was the least exciting match I've seen for ages.I'd much prefer Mark L back and losing 3-2 'cause this guy and his tactics are going to get us relegated anyway.

striker needed too much pressure on back four as they know we have nowt up top and its just gonna keep coming back then mistakes happen as they are doing more and more defending. wells been poor for a while lightweight, cant trap a bag of cement, cant seem to dribble and a lot slower than i thought he was.
