Anyone know when his contract expires? Never going to make it here and glad he's gone on-loan to Chesterfield, gets him off the wage bill

So that's Stead, Gobern, Carroll, Crooks, Carr, Holmes out on loan. With the exception of Holmes wouldn't be bothered if any of them didn't play again for Town.

I wouldnt be bothered if any of them didn't play for us again. Holmes seems a nice guy but clearly not good enough for championship level.

Gobern isn't a player I've totally written off. He's had some really good games for us - I remember him being the best player on the pitch against QPR in the first home game of last season and playing his part in when Robins first came in. That said, he's had far too many game when he just disappears and seems to be made partly from glass. Also looks like we could get shut of him in the summer, if we want www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22574843

Still part of Powells 1st team plans, the loan is to get his fitness up I believe.

I was impressed by Carroll in the games I saw him play last season. It's a shame he seems to have been forgotten about. As a secondary Saints supporter, I've some time for Gobern, but accept he needs to toughen up somewhat.

Unless we have an unprecedented injury crisis then Gobern Sinnot and Crooks wont be playing for the 1st team again..imo Judging by what Powell said today, I'd say he's happy to have him competing for a place once his fitness is up, but if we get an offer as a result of his move to Chesterfield, wither from Chesterfield or anybody else, then it may well be considered. Given the form of our current midfield, he isn't going to be starting any games in a hurry though.

Who knows a loan move to Chesterfield was perfect for Jack Hunt.

I like Chesterfied, good club I hope he does well. Not half as bad as made out to be, think he's still going to improve but even if he doesnt he's not exactly a bad option to have on the bench is he?

Let's see how he does. Too inconsistent for me but perfect chance now at a good club. Good luck to him.

I think there's a good player in Oscar but like Scanz he hasn't shown it on a consistent basis yet. Maybe CP could make the difference for him as well

Made his debut in a 3-0 home defeat to Swindon. Subbed after 70 minutes

Made his debut in a 3-0 home defeat to Swindon. Subbed after 70 minutes Not the best of starts Other than that not being his debut, why is that not the best of starts? For all I know, he was instrumental in securing the 3 goal lead and then subbed with the game in the bag because he was so influential and they wanted to protect him for the next game. (Although I suspect he was just tired having not played competitive football for so long) They lost though...unless he was instrumental in setting up all the opposition's goals
