Wonder who's fault it will be or what excuse he'll have ? Referees, Parachute payments, crowds the weather or even the Ebola crisis. Can't do with him to be honest absoloute turd of a man, just hope it means their new manager sees Holt as part of his plans.

Can't really see us signing Holt now, but who knows. Maybe that's why (if the rumours are true) we are looking into signing Hanson from Sadford

Whatever way you dice it, the chances of him playing for Wigan again has increased because it was zero whilever Rosler was in charge. Holt made a huge difference for us and hopefully will continue to do so, BUT he isn't the only striker out there capable of doing so. And our scouting network should have a list of targets who could do likewise fr our team.
IMO Wigan will still try to offload him permanently in January, but after their new gaffer has taken a look at him.

The club extended his initial loan to take it up to the end of December. Wigan would have been very careless if they hadn't included a clause so they could recall him, it's is pretty common in all loans for both sides to be able to cancel or recall a load deal, Oscar Gobern for and start is a prime example of that

I think Bruce will be out of Hull soon, and he has connections with Wigan. Let's hope he goes there given his record for letting quality strikers go.

Certainly a big blow to our hopes of keeping him but you can never rule it out.

can i suggest Mr Whelan will allow us to honor the loan till it runs out at the end of december? Seems like an honorable chap.

Could be wrong here, but my understanding of the recall clauses in loans is as follows: no recalls allowed in a one-month loan, but instant recall permissible in any extension beyond the initial month.
As I said, I could be wrong.

My apologies, 3Pipe. The fact that the thread title was about Rosler led me to think that Mackay hadn't been mentioned yet. Admins - Feel free to merge this then.

mackay will have been on the fairness in action course. lets hope he has 'his own personal thoughts' about old fashioned centre forwards but keeps them to himself whilst leaving holt here..
he might be found to be 'ageist' if he does not take him back, the furore might influence his decision???
he may have a 'dislike' of cumbrians, if the fa find out the shit will hit the fan.
