Phill Bill looks like he ran the game from the highlights. Very exciting prospect. I wonder if his performance lead to another boardroom inquest at Everton

Why is it that we only seem to bring them in to the first team when they are getting towards 20 or 21. Other clubs seem to bring in 17 year olds for their debuts quite regularly. e.g the lad who played for Villa at the weekend, 17, looked 17, 17 year olds stature, yet playing premier league football. From the brief glimpses Ive seen of Billing Id have him playing week in and week out, moves around the ground like Yaya Toure, Always gives a solid performance, He will be class in my opinion. Couldn't agree more. We have a had a top U21 side for the past two years but these young lads can't get a sniff at first team level. Every time I see the highlights that get posted on here Billing seems to ooze class and the overall standard of play is very encouraging.

Gobern was MoM on Tuesday night, should we replace Coady with him?
Harry Bunn and Tommy Smith seem to have made the transition to first team squad, Sinnott and Crooks looked terribly out of place and their introductions probably set their careers back.
Duane Holmes has shown promise at first team level and has looked really good for the U-21's and he's had mixed loans away from the club.
Murray Wallace was a mainstay for the U-21's and yet there has been an outcry that he was piicked over Gerrard by most on here.
This year's U-21 Development squad is probably more a case of the natural progresion of last years U-18's who also did very well.
Their time will come.

There is a theory that Duane made the step up too soon, seem to remember he was accused of "taking his foot off the gas"?
Don't expect too much too soon.
