He looks up before delivering the ball, it looks like he's sizing it up to me Sent from my SM-G900F using proboards That's how it looks to me, put it this way if that was in a premier league game...........Coady admits to it being a cross suicide Shocking cross!

For once Rocky I agree with you but it was hardly a classic but I do think we shaded it and probably just about deserved the 3 points. Wigan were bloody awful, it seems like they play like that every week, they look doomed if you ask me. I was beginning to think we had let the game get away for us, as it was deffo there to be won. Sometimes our decision making at key times is bloody atrocious though. Just enjoy the result mate! I don't care how bad Wigan were etc, as I prefer to give Town credit for making them appear so. It was a great 3 points against a team in the bottom 3 & increases the gap to 3rd bottom. Hopefully we can push up the table a bit & don't need to look over our shoulder's too much.

Although we all want to see Town winning whilst playing great football, the fact is there are plenty of games over a season where the game is just crap. Unfortunately this season Town have lost more than their fair share of these poor games and its great to see us get an overdue win in this type of game - particularly when its against one of the teams below us in the league. Hopefully this result will instill a bit of confidence in the team when playing away from home (the clean sheet is as important in this respect as the win) and we will be able to play a bit more in the next one at Millwall. No reason why we can't win the next two games before a tough trip to Bournmemouth.

We have similar discussions on our site, what people forget about an 'ugly' win is that it normally means you have got the defensive side of the game right which gives you the foundation for any goal (wonder goals and flukes count the same) to get you the win. No no such thing as a bad win so why people do not just enjoy the win and the solid defence surprises me everytime.

Granted, it wasn't the best of games (not helped by a terrible pitch), but we had the better chances & more of them & restricted Wigan to very little. The defensive side of things was undoubtedly right, but for me, we were the better team all over the pitch. BTW, have Bolton done anything about that ludicrously bright perimeter advertising yet?

as above..town don't have to play great 'football' for me, just attacking intent will do with the defence making the challenges a bit further up the pitch.. cross/shot/shank? who cares, we were playing in the right direction with midfield support at 82 minutes gone, you don't get luck, you have to do something first to get into a position for that bit of luck to go your way..
