that the teams below us are so incredibly poor. In a very false league position. Powell still not the man for me.

it can change very quickly though, it only takes a couple of wins for Millwall and Wigan and everyone is back in it again

Think we have taken something like 14 points from an available 60 so far from the teams in the top half. Goal difference taking a pounding as well. Saw we were going with 3 at the back tonight and just cringed.

I have one or two reservations about Powell and concerns about the team, but how can we be in a false league position after 35 league games? And if the teams below us are incredibly poor, we are not in a false position are we? We might be average at this level, but we are still better than the 'incredibly poor' ones - lucky or not.

I was thinking the same earlier, looks like we are going to crawl over the line again unfortunately (in terms of not pushing on)! Rotherham, Millwall, Wigan and Blackpool are extremely poor, we will finish above them!

Thank god for Blackpool, Wigan and Millwall this season. I don't think we're good enough... but they are just worse than us

The worst thing for me about this season is the fact we are on course to concede 79 goals at the current rate.
We conceded 74 in our first season back, 65 last year and we have supposedly strengthened at the back! Absolutely laughable amount of goals we have conceded this season.

I don't think we're good enough... but they are just worse than us What about the other six teams between us and a bottom three that is apparently only just worse than us? Look, we're flat out average, that much we can be damn sure of. Hence why we are 15th out of 24 after playing 35. We are about where we should be. And so, funnily enough, are the genuinely poor sides.

dismal second half.. I think they forgot we were not losing.. the attempts at counter attacking were almost embarrassing but ive watched town for a long time so I take a lot of embarrassing..
never seen wages like these wasted so badly before..
best DNA check Edgar, I don't think its the same bloke that signed his first pro contract..he does not look like he has played at any level??? ringer perhaps???
at least harry bunn will get a move sooner rather than later...
as for powell trying to counter attack against a team that fucking loves playing in your half and loves teams backing off them, least said I guess..

We conceded 74 in our first season back, 65 last year and we have supposedly strengthened at the back! Absolutely laughable amount of goals we have conceded this season. We having been crying out for a couple of decent centre halves for years and I do mean years. Some told us when we signed Hudson that we had had to wait for the right man and that his signing was proof of that... Well it doesn't look like we got the right man. Add Wallace, Edgar and Carroll into the defence and what we have is an absolute nightmare on our hands. With our defence we must go all out attack as there is no way we can expect or play to keep clean sheets. Parking the bus and not attacking will simply wind up our home support so let's at least have a go and play some attacking and entertaining football.

Exactly although I'd like us to play conservative when needed to preserve a clean sheet.. It's just not possible with the personnel we have at the moment.
On Saturday Id like us to be set up to go at Rotherham.. They're below us in the table for a reason. (Surprisingly they can't be worse than us surely?!)

I really doubt we'll finish 15th. There are teams below us that are better than us, I'm sure their quality will shine through between now and the end of the season.

Could be around 20th way we're heading.. At least the bottom 3 are not picking up big points as of yet.. Like the season Peterborough went down on over 50 points. We'd be buggered if that happened this season

Every year, we are relying on there being three teams worse than us. Would be nice for other teams to worry about us.

I think when we got promoted from League 1 there were more than 3 teams worse than us. There are more than 3 teams worse than us now - some a lot worse. I believe Wigan have not won at home since August & Milwall November! And as for Blackpool - well not sure we would want to changes places with them - or the other 2.

People who say that we are in or around the position that we should be do not represent the feelings of the Town hierarchy. When the last set of accounts were released recently Hoyle said he was disappointed with our finish to last season and was expecting a higher league position. In the summer he said that he wanted the players to over achieve and a top ten finish was the minimum requirement. That's extremely unlikely to happen this season so surely the upshot will be that its another failure.

Welcome to Colt logic aka 'Logic for Dummies'. I agree with Colt, we're playing badly and won't finish as high up as we are now, hence we're in a false position. We are where we are because we've played how we've played over 35 games, nowt false about it. Not sure we'll finish as high up as we are either but we are where we are because it hasn't been all bad. Nowt false going on bar Colt's logic.

it can change very quickly though, it only takes a couple of wins for Millwall and Wigan and everyone is back in it again Or a couple of wins for town and we're back out of it again. Time and games are quickly running out for the bottom (They're shit and they know they are) three, and I think their fate is already sealed..
