goodshot..
wells wasn't running as hard as he had been and we still made a couple of good chances before the end..fact is we will come under pressure in games in this division and its a question of how we deal with it. Saturday was much improved in that area.. Be honest, teams in this league will make chances against us, its mainly down to us cutting out the easy ones and trying to cut down on the numbers we give away close to our own goal.. percentage game at times..

Hopefully we are at the stage now where CP fully knows his squad....Kind of where we would of been mid season with the benefit of a pre-season behind us,so all is looking good.Just adding to the replacing a striker with a midfielder when your 1-0 up , most teams do this to defend what u got and make yourself more compact

Most of the posters on this board seems to think that it's Huddersfield Town and Dean that will make the decision as to whether CP goes or stays. If he leaves I think it's more than likely to be his decision - he's obviously a decent championship manager and I'm sure there'll be one or two clubs nosing around with potential offers.

I am not sure there will be too many clubs sniffing around Powell. At best he is a work in progress.

I have ranted at his substitutions, like many on here, but thought he got the changes spot on today?

Why don't we just let the guy get on with the job in hand. Let him bring in players who he deems fit for Town. Judge him next Xmas, you never know

The last month or so has deffo seen a marked improvement, lets see what his transfer activity is like and whether his tactics remain positive for next season. To be honest I feel quite hopeful about next season.

Its a pity that CP wont have a few quid to spend in the summer, but i am confident that he will do a good job for the club.

I agree .. time for you to reverse from your keyboard Ted, how long do we leave it with no wins before a change? It's not the lack of wins per se that worries me.. It's whether he can get enough wins out of them between now and the end of the season... This was my first live match and there were some very good signs and performances.. But ultimately I'm not sure Powell can deliver enough three point hauls.. It's not as bad as you have been making out. But it wouldn't surprise me massively if the chairman went in another direction

There are mini leagues in the Championship and we are one of the poorer relations with MK Dons, PNE, Rotherham etc. how we played today would have been enough to beat them I reckon. In fact not getting anything today was robbery and we won't end up near QPR My only beef with Powell is that we've not addressed central defence properly and after last season that should have been the number one priority

Who is going to replace Powell, it appears to me there is not a long list of potential replacements. A squad of players probably on the lowest wages in the division, cannot see any decent average players moving heaven and earth to sign for town. I think Powell has his hands tied, given the circumstances he his doing a good job. Some people say we should attack and be more positive which is fine if we could defend, however if we did attack and push forward it would only be a matter of time (seconds) before we concede. Investment in quality starting at the back is the only way to move this club forward otherwise I am afraid a league 1 football awaits. Powell and his tactics are not the problem the quality of players is a major concern for me.

However after feeling comfortable with our striking options I now think this needs urgent attention also,

Town played really good and much improved football today against a team who were in the premiership last season and now who will watch the parachute payments roll in. Level playing field or what? To call for Powell to lose his job is totally bonkers. No we did not score today but QPR had one lucky break and we had one lapse in concentration. When will fans learn that sacking a manager so early in the season is ludicrous? Powell is doing a good job so far with the players at his disposal and I predict the team will start to get the results shortly with the same manager at the helm. You moaners will all go quiet then as usual!
